Studio Romand is a luxury, self-contained studio apartment providing everything you need for a wonderful alpine holiday. Views of the Morzine/Avoriaz mountains can be enjoyed through the panoramic floor to ceiling French doors which open onto a sunny patio.

With travel time of just over an hour from Geneva airport our close proximity makes travel quick, convenient and hassle free. Daily international flights to Geneva together with an all year round alpine resort makes this the ideal retreat.

Detached and standing in its own grounds Chalet Romand's charming, luxury alpine studio apartment is in the sunny open village of Essert Romand, only 3 km from Morzine - the gateway to the Portes du Soleil. This spacious ground floor studio apartment with kitchenette and luxury bathroom offers all you need after an active day in the mountain air. With a comfy double bed, TV and relaxing seating area there is time to kick back and listen to some mellow music from the studios sound system, or bring your own I pod and pop it into the I pod docker. A bookshelf and DVD selection is available- help yourself.

The kitchenette is fully equipped with fridge, 2 ring gas hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are double French doors leading to the outside patio and seating area - enjoy breakfast al fresco! The studio's wardrobe storage and hanging space is complemented by separate and secure ski/bike storage.

A delightful, separate bathroom with walk in shower, wc and heated towel rail complete the comforts of your alpine experience.

Outside studio Romand the large beautiful garden provides plenty of outdoor space in winter or summer. The long sweeping driveway allows for ample free parking.

Relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets and views from this lovely mountain retreat.

Guests can enjoy the sunny patio and have access to secure snowsports and summer bike storage. There is ample free parking together with a barbecue area.

Winter ski, snowboard, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, sledging, even ice diving (brrr!!) followed by a hot wine in front of a warming fire. This and so much more on your doorstep in the famous Portes du Soleil ski zone. With 650km of marked pistes and an abundance of challenging off piste the Portes du Soleil offers the perfect terrain for all levels of skier and snowboarder.

Warming summer sun brings mountain bikers, breath-taking downhillers, exhilarating zip wires, dare devil white water rafting, the grace the beauty and the challenge of Tour de France style road biking. Enjoy the mountain golf courses, pony trekking, rock climbing, paragliding, hiking the well - marked and seemingly endless mountain and valley trails.

It is a 2 minute walk to our popular local village restaurant- bar, La Petite Auberge, which offers a range of lunch and evening meals whilst delicious take-away pizzas with a local twist are available at the local Savoyard “pizza hut”.

We are conveniently situated on the local Balad ‘Aulps Bus service bus stop (winter and summer) allowing easy access to Morzine and surrounding villages.

We can assist with recommendations and bookings for local taxis should this be required.

Guests can expect The White Company of London miniature soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath & shower gel together on arrival.

Having been living here permanently since 2014, we have a detailed knowledge of the winter sports and summer activities. To help you relax and enjoy your holiday we provide optional breakfast choices, at a small additional charge. You can choose from three breakfast menus that will be delivered to your studio. If you need help or advice with ski/snowboard hire, lift passes or airport transfers, feel free to ask. We live on the top apartment of Chalet Romand so we are always here to meet and greet our guests. Whilst we always respect our guests privacy we are on hand to help with any queries you may have, if required. We both speak French and are more than happy to help with reservations or provide other assistance.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Wendy (the owner) a message.

If Wendy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
