Salaam Shalom Azul, and welcome to Dar Massaneh Essaouira.

We are situated on the edge of the ancient Jewish Quarter of the Medina, The UNESCO protected Mellah of Essaouira Mogador.

This is a large bright renovated house or traditional 'Riad', over several floors, with three bright double or triple bedrooms, together with a cosy single room.

There are several living areas to ensure maximum relaxation and two beautiful bathrooms decorated in the traditional style.

And best of all, we have a lovely private double terrace on two levels with panoramic views over the Medina and sea, ideal for sunbathing or yoga.

Guests will have access to all areas including the fully equipped galley kitchen with its 5 burner gas cooker and large fridge freezer.

We further have a sofa bed, plus cot bed.

There is also a washing machine (please ask staff).

Our Manager Youness and Housekeeper Zoukina will be available to assist you, in order to make your stay more enjoyable.

We are surrounded by Cafes, Restaurants and Craft Shops. The beautiful Essaouira Beach is an 8 minute walk from the Riad through vivid and historic streets.

The whole of the Medina is a pedestrianized zone, however we are located near one of the main Gates where taxis are easy to obtain. There are a few long term car parks available in the town for hired vehicles.

Our Manager can arrange any transport requirements you may have including airport transfers and excursions to other parts of Morocco.

We do not include meals in our rates - these can be agreed locally.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Martine (the owner) a message.

If Martine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
