Villa / 3 bedrooms / sleeps 6
An impressive rustic-style, newly decorated, 300 m2 private villa on 1000 m2 of land and gardens boasting gorgeous views to the sea and the countryside.
Spread over three floors, it provides one double and two twin bedrooms sleeping six in total; two separate living, dining and kitchen areas; a relaxing snug area with open fireplace; a full size pool table and side bar and three terraces. The double bedroom is served by a family sized bathroom and its own private roof terrace; and the two twin bedrooms share a second family sized bathroom. The third bathroom and shower room serves both the recreation and pool areas.
The romantic roof top terrace offers fantastic views for sunset and sunrises; the cafe-style terrace is reminiscent of the old 'Lisboeta' cobbled street cafes; and the barbecue terrace invites you to socialize under the stars as well as offering a cool reprieve from the hot midday sun. Adjacent to the barbecue terrace are the steps leading down to a wonderful swimming pool area with inviting water and dressed with sun loungers and parasol for that extra relaxing feeling.
The various garden areas, distinguished by the palm trees, fruit trees, roses, bench-style seats, hammock and fish pond with blossoming water lilies provide different alternatives according to your mood.
Be in your own private paradise, but still very close to the locals' favourite beach of Foz do Lizandro, the charismatic towns of Ericeira and Mafra and several hypermarkets and a pharmacy. Sandwiched between two local town cafes and an equestrian centre, you won't miss the opportunity to be close to the famous Covento de Mafra and its nature reserve (Tapada de Mafra) or the bustling coastal town of Ericeira for the best seafood restaurants, bars, surf and nightlife.

The Central Portugal region
The property is 4 km from the much-loved Foz do Lizandro beach in Ericeira and Ericeira town, and 4 km from Convento de Mafra in Mafra town.
Ericeira is a seaside resort and fishing community on the western coast of Portugal, in the municipality of Mafra, about 35 kilometres northwest of the capital, Lisbon and its airport. It is a popular destination for local and visiting tourists, as well as surfers (owing to the 40 beaches with good conditions in the area).
Ericeira was chosen by the WSR to be one of the four World Surfing Reserves, together with Malibu and Santa Cruz, in California, and Manly Beach, in Australia. It routinely hosts a round of the ASP World Tour Surf Championship and is widely-regarded as one of the best beaches in Europe for this sport.
Ericeira is also well known for its restaurants and food (specially seafood), cultural exhibitions, great shopping, rustic architecture and the famous windmills trail, beautiful corners embellished by the old fountains, quaint churches, richly varied water sports, tennis, golf and a fishing harbour. The list carries on.
Mafra is mostly known for the sumptuous Palácio de Mafra (Mafra Palace), which also makes it a popular tourist destination in the Lisbon area. Built in the baroque style, the Mafra National Palace also inspired Portuguese Nobel Prize laureate José Saramago to write his novel Baltasar and Blimunda (Memorial do Convento). Other points of interest around the city include the Tapada Nacional de Mafra, an enclosed wildlife and game reserve.
It is a 30 minute-drive from Lisbon and its airport and a 20-minute drive to Sintra, famous for the Palacio Nacional de Pena (Pena National Palace), which you can see in a distance from the property. This Romanticist palace stands on the top of a hill and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.
A quiet area with many country walks and with a 4km drive to the largest beach in the area (Foz do Lizandro) makes this a wonderful sea and country break. A local equestrian centre is nearby as is the windmill trail. It is 100 metres away from a grocery store and a 5-minute drive from various large supermarkets, a pharmacy and local produce stores.
