Set back off the road, this 18C semi detached 3 bedroom cottage has been beautifully restored to exceptionally high standards. Bell’aa is set in a rural village location with off road parking for 3 cars, with a large garden, pétanque court and huge Games Barn and makes the perfect place to relax for a family or a group of friends. Located just 1 hour from Calais and 2 1/2 from Paris Charles de Gaulle for international travellers.
Beautifully restored and oozing charm with exposed beams, a lovely cosy fireplace with electric stove for chillier evenings, it’s the perfect place to explore this lovely region.
There is a 28sqm terrace with views across the garden towards the River Aa where you can fish or enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. We provide a large parasol for those summer days and two teak sunloungers and cushions. Star gazing is fabulous here as there is no ambient light.... don't forget to bring an extra torch as there are no street lights.
Inside the cottage there is a fully fitted oak kitchen, with electric oven, gas hob and loads of workspace and cupboards, ideal for the chef. An antique farmhouse table and six Ercol chairs make up the dining area of the kitchen looking out onto the terrace and the living room enjoys a full height vaulted ceiling through to the roof space creating a wonderful view. The downstairs double bedroom has an antique bed and painted beams. A downstairs shower room with wc and basin enjoys views over the garden. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin - which can be made into a king size if required). There is a stunning mezzanine walkway between the two bedrooms which overlooks the living room area and creates a feeling of enormous space and light.
Outside you can relax on the 28sqm terrace (fully railed) and enjoy the flowered garden. Children will enjoy exploring the garden, we have insect houses and a wildflower area to keep our resident hedgehogs happy.
ONE well behaved dog is accepted but not allowed to be left alone in the cottage at any time and we would prefer they don’t get on the beds. We can provide throws for the sofas as being dog lovers ourselves we know they like a sofa cuddle.
