Looking for a fun-filled retreat to Georgia’s High Country? Well, game on at ‘The Scrabble Cabin,’ a 3-bed, 3-bath vacation rental in Mineral Bluff. Nestled in a gated community near the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s the perfect family escape. Up to 8 guests will enjoy soaking in the hot tub, making s’mores around the fire pit, and having fun in the game room. Spend days hiking, apple picking, and whitewater rafting and nights relaxing in the comfort of this luxuriously furnished home.

You’ll feel right at home in ‘The Scrabble Cabin,’ featuring high ceilings, an open floor plan, a wood-burning fireplace and ample windows framing the surrounding forest. After one look at the decor, you’ll understand how the cabin received its name. Thoughtful touches throughout include scrabble tile pillows and cabin motif accents.

Cook meals for the whole pack in the fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cookware. The rest of the group can lounge next to the fireplace in the living room while watching a movie on the satellite TV until you’re ready to serve the meal at the dining table.

If you’re craving BBQ, head outside fire up the gas grill on the wraparound deck, complete with rocking chairs and a swing. After dinner, make your way down to the large paver patio, where the kids can roast marshmallows around the fire pit while the adults relax in the hot tub or hammock swings.

Rainy evenings are best spent in the basement game room, where the whole family can face off in a competition of foosball, air hockey, or arcade games. Once the kids are tired out from all the excitement, parents can easily tuck their little cubs into the ‘Bear Cub Bedroom’ with 2 twin-over-twin bunk beds.

Once the kids are fast asleep, curl up in your own bed in the main level ‘Moose Master Bedroom’ with a queen bed, private access to the covered deck and an en-suite bathroom with a vanity and large jetted tub/shower combo. Or, get even more privacy in the upper-level loft area, where the ‘Owl Master Suite’ awaits with a queen bed, private balcony and bathroom.


Tucked away in quaint Mineral Bluff, just minutes from several surrounding mountain attractions, ‘The Scrabble Cabin’ is perfectly located for all of your endeavors. Start each morning exploring the property’s 1.25 acres full of lush foliage housing nature.

For shopping, dining and seasonal festivals, head into the nearby town of Blue Ridge. Here, you can also learn the ins and outs of fly fishing at workshops and guided expeditions in the ‘trout fishing capital of Georgia!’

During the summertime, enjoy boating, swimming, and waterskiing at Lake Blue Ridge. Feeling adventurous? Try your hand at whitewater rafting at one of several guiding companies along the Ocoee River or drop a line for some trout fishing in the nearby Toccoa River!
