It is approximately 40 kms from the medieval city of Kilkenny, Wexford with its beautiful promenade over looking the river Slaney and narrow streets, Carlow, Waterford, and 15kms from Enniscorthy with Vinegar Hill being the site of the 1798 rebellion.

Enniscorthy

While this is a quiet destination it is equidistant from 4 major centres of population. There are 5 golf courses within easy reach by car. There two old world pubs where the locals are more than willing to embrace tourists and engage and include them in the local banter. There is a small grocery shop where all the essentials can be purchased. The area is also well known for it's hill walking and mountaineering.
