'Druid Cottage' named after the area where it is situated, Glendree, 'Glen of the Druids', where you will find lakes and scenic walks on the hillside to megalithic stone monuments. Suitable for horse riding, fishing or just relax and research, do some writing painting or photography.
I recommend that you have your own transport as public is limited and with a car we are within easy reach of places of interest ,Cliffs of Moher, The Wild Atlantic Way, The Burren, Aran Islands, Cities Limerick and Galway are all just 1 hour away and Shannon airport is only 45 minutes. Lots of places to visit nearby within a 30min drive or and for those more adventurous we have Dingle and Connamara.
The cottage is (Granny flat) beside my home and Studio, where I design and create Shawls, Wraps and other accessories in natural fibers and inspired by the surrounding landscape, guests can avail of 15% off any purchase. I respect your space and am happy to leave you alone but you do also have the comfort of knowing that you are not totally alone,on a quiet rural hillside! Always happy to help and advise when requested to insure you have a happy and memorable holiday.
Open plan with separate bathroom, a loft space bedroom plus a single bed in main room. If you would like another pull out bed downstairs please ask and it can be arranged. The heating is solid fuel with the option of an electric heater and enjoy fresh spring water on tap.
.Enjoy your own home cooked meals or eat out in nearby Peppers Bar where you can also find Traditional music, or a quick Take out on the way home through Tulla village.

The Province of Munster region
East Clare is central to all the places of interest that the mid West Ireland has to offer. Shannon airport 35 mins, Galway city 55mins, Limerick 45 mins, Ennis town 30 mins and the Wild Atlantic way is 1 hr for exploring up and down the spectacular coast. Guests also travel as far as Connemara and Dingle!
Glendree is quiet, slightly remote but with friendly neighbors nearby and an Organic Farm shop just across the road. ( produce available by season and supply). Guests find the cottage a welcome retreat home after a day visiting the tourist spots and a warm fire and a good sleep, tops it all. There are many walks long or short along small roads with great views of rolling hills, animals, lakes and megalithic sites. Bring all weather gear for our weather pattern of "all seasons in the one day"!
Druid cottage is an excellent hide away for sight seeing, relaxation, hill walking, writing, local pubs, music and Craic.
It is however essential to have your own transport as the cottage is 6 miles from nearest village. But , if you wish to stay at the cottage for a quiet retreat, I do pick up airport or bus station.

"Clean, quiet cottage in East Clare"
This one-bedroom cottage was the perfect place to rest, read, paint, and think about writing that novel! It consists of an open living room, bathroom, and small kitchen, with a very comfortable bed atop a loft. Our host was totally welcoming, flexible, and neighborly (with her main house located right next to the cottage). This was a visit to the real Ireland, with farm yard sounds and wild flowers outside the door. An easy drive to Loch Derg, Ennis, and villages of East Clare, known for the best traditional music in Ireland.

"The pure Irish experience"
We enjoyed staying at this beautiful stone cottage very much. The home is decorated with much love to detail, and we felt very comfortable right from the beginning. It is located in a stunning landscape about 15 mins by car from Tulla. You can do day trips to the Burren and Connemara National Parks but the neighborhood is worth seeing as well!
