Description

Superb 4 bedroom house set on acre of mature gardens in the beautiful County Meath Countryside. Ideal base for touring the historic sites of County Meath i.e Trim Castle, Newgrange, Slane etc. Dublin Airport (1hr) Dublin city centre (1 hr) Trim, (20 mins) Enfield (12 mins) Maynooth (25 mins) Mullingar 25 (mins) Tayto Park (55 mins)

Very peaceful location and relaxing for the visitor. The house is quite spacious, 4 bedrooms, 2 double and 2 single, master bedroom ensuite. There are also two other bathrooms one with walk in shower and the main bathroom has bath with overbath shower. The kitchen is well stocked with modern appliances and utensils. It is home from home, towels and linens supplied. Tea and coffee supplied and toiletries as well.

Ideal for small family groups or friends. House can accomodate up to 6 adults. Visitors have the use of desktop computer with internet access at no extra charge. Parking for several cars outside the house.

If you do not want to drive into Dublin city there is a daily bus on the hour from the village of Clonard

“Our home away from home”

This spacious but cozy home is loaded with special touches inside and out. It was perfect for our family of five. A week was not long enough to enjoy all this bungalow had to offer. Trudy is amazing and filled with knowledge of the area and Dublin too! It was immaculate. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen while enjoying the views of the fields. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

“very comfortable home from with some lovely touches”

Myself and my 3 sisters (all seniors) stayed here for the last week in September. The house was just as described in the advertisement. It is in a very rural setting on quite a spacious site. The road has a few other houses and it is a lovely area for a walk. At the end of the road is the canal and I believe there is a walkway alongside it. The house itself has 4 bedrooms all very nicely laid out.The kitchen was very well equipped with all the cutlery, tableware etc and there was no shortage of plastic bags for bins, kitchen paper, tea towels, toilet paper etc. The freezer had some frozen goods for us and there was milk in the fridge. All these are very welcome as the nearest shop is about 3 miles away. The sitting room was very comfortable with a log burner and a supply of logs, and every room was warm and cosy. There was a lovely spacious front garden with apple trees - one of which was laden with apples. On our stay there were at least 6 resident cats who entertained us with their antics. While we were there we saw the farmer in the adjoining field rounding up his sheep with the sheep dog and it was like live theatre. All in all this was probably one of the best houses we have stayed in over the past 15 years and would be perfectly suited to a family. Plenty of space for children both outside and in. Nothing was spared here, even the towels in the bathroom were of the very fluffy white variety that would be seen in the best hotels. The only negative was the size of the ensuite in the main bedroom. It was very small and difficult for one of our group to use it who has mobility problems.

“Lovely well equipped property in a rural setting.”

Stayed at this property for one week early September. We were a large family group in need of 3 bathrooms and lots of space. This property did not disappoint. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owner Trudy was very helpful and had left toiletries and cleaning products for our use. Facilities and equipment very good. Free internet access was very useful (no wi-fi). Property is a short drive from Enfield where there are shops and bars. Furey's Bar/Restaurant was so good, we ate there 4 times during the week - only a 5 minute drive from the property. 4 white cats and 2 kittens visited daily and would sit outside the patio doors hoping to be fed. They never tried to venture indoors. We spent little time at the property during the day as our plans included excursions as far north as Carlingford and south to Waterford - but we were always pleased to return each evening.

“Peace & Tranquility!”

My husband & I stayed here for a week in June with our two kids aged 4 & 2. The house itself is immaculate and has loads of space inside. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer & dryer in the utility room came in very handy. The garden is kept in first class condition, a credit to Trudy & Paddy. When the gates were closed we could let the kids outside to run about without fear of them getting on to the road, it was very secure. The area is so quiet and peaceful, all you can hear are the birds singing in the morning! It is however well located to explore the many attractions in the area. Dublin zoo & Tayto park are 50 min away, We also enjoyed Lullymore Heritage Park and Belvedere Gardens. Trudy is a lovely host, who was always on hand if we needed anything. All in all we had a lovely stay and hope to be back again some day.

How do damage deposits work?
