Description

17 Quinton Fields is a very well presented and comfortable first and second floor maisonette in the popular Hampshire town of Emsworth. It is ideal as a holiday base from which to explore all the region has to offer, or as a "home away from home" for short term rentals.

Stairs lead from the private entrance to the first floor that has a good size living room, with comfy sofas and a dining area. There is a modern fitted kitchen that is very well equipped and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, range style cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also a toilet on the first floor. On the second floor there are 2 double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor, so each bedroom can have separate bathroom facilities.

Outside the maisonette there is a private parking space right outside the front door. There is a small area with an outdoor table and chairs, but there is no private garden

Emsworth town centre is easily accessible by car or on foot, being less than 1 mile away. The railway station is also just a short walk away with direct services to London and along the south coast.

Location description from manager

The England region

Emsworth is a popular and attractive small town on the Hamphire and West Sussex boarder. The attractive town centre offers a great range of local shops, including 2 butchers, a fishmonger, a greengrocer, a bakery and a small supermarket. There is also a great choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Emsworth also has a beautiful little harbour with a foot pathed mill pond that makes for a delightful walk.

Within easy reach of Emsworth are the historic cities of Portsmouth and Chichester. Portsmouth is the home of the British navy and its historic dockyards are home to world famous ships such as the Mary Rose and the Victory. Chichester's history dates back to Roman times, but the city is dominated by the cathedral, which dates from 1076. Both these cities are also great for shopping and eating, with a wide range of independent and high street shops and eateries.

Other local places of interest include the Goodwood Estate, famous for its horse racing and internationally renowned motor sport events, including the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. The beaches at Hayling Island and West Wittering are also within easy reach.

Emsworth

Situated at the top of Chichester Harbour, Emsworth is a delightful market town popular with sailors, walkers, artists and tourists. It has two tidal mill ponds which are host to a variety of wild life. It is full of history, with a long established reputation for oyster fishing and boat building and still boasts traditional shipwrights and chandeliers.

The sailing club is a thriving centre for sailing enthusiasts and the pretty streets have a fascinating mixture of different architectural styles. A gentle walk around the village, which has superb harbour views, gives a genuine feel for the past. There are excellent road links to Portsmouth and Chichester (15 minute drive to both approximately) and there is also a mainline station to London. There is an interesting selection of shops in the town itself and there are numerous places of interest to visit in the area.

These include Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, one of the largest vantage points in Europe, the internationally renowned Chichester Festival Theatre at Chichester, polo at Cowdray near Midhurst and horse racing and motor sports at Goodwood. In addition to the sailing at Emsworth there is also a very popular sandy beach at West Wittering which attracts wind surfers and surfers, as well as sun bathers.
