Owner's reply:
Dear Mr Pearson We would firstly like to apologise for your experience and thank you for the time you have taken to write and post your review of The Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel. We are always grateful for our guest’s comments and are continually striving to improve. I can assure you that the experience you had is not indicative of the standard of customer service which we strive for. The cottage is due to be painted in January as you can appreciate fitting this in prior to that would be virtually impossible. I am sad to see you being unhappy regarding our dog policy which is available on all websites including the one you booked on and perhaps if you had read this more carefully you would have realised that we charge for dogs. Regarding this so called camp bed you did not ask for this which is by the way a sofa bed and were never charged for this, perhaps it would be advisable in future that you come over and settle the final bill. This is in fact the first time I have heard anything other than good comments regarding the fire and we have the exact same one in our lounge which puts out huge amounts of heat, maybe we should provide instructions on how to use it properly. Finally, we would like to reassure you that we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that we do not repeat these failings you have highlighted. Should you be kind enough to visit again, I am positive that you will not experience similar problems. George Knight-General Manager - Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel
