“Great Place for a group Break”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2016

This was the first time we have stayed in Northumberland and I cannot believe we found such a wonderful location at first attempt. The "Police House" is an ideal venue for a group to stay whether by self catering or using the catering facilities of Dunstonburgh Castle Hotel who own the property. All rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and fitted out. TVs in all bedrooms and a kitchen area with everything we could need. The location is ideal for exploring the Northumberland coastline. The beach (dog-friendly) is an easy walk. Craster is easily reachable if you fancy their wonderful Kippers. We will be retuening with other family members in the near future.

“Perfect Stay”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2015

We stayed in the The Old Police House, a three bedroom house which is directly opposite the hotel. Sadly we were only there for one night but were so impressed we have booked a longer stay in three cottages later in the year. The standard of the accommodation was absolutely superb, every facility that could be imagined is there, including a wine chiller, dishwasher, washing machine. the cottage itself was spotlessly clean and very well furnished. We are regular visitors to the area and Embleton in particular and the beauty and serenity of the North Northumberland coast is (in our opinion) unsurpassed anywhere in the world. Can't wait to go back

“I'd like to live here full-time”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2015

The self-catering accommodation at The Old Police House (attached to the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel) was of the very highest standard. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an extremely spacious and well-appointed kitchen/diner and lounge, plus cloakroom and utility room, this felt more like a real home than a holiday let. The whole place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The staff at the hotel where we breakfasted were friendly and the food was good.

“Outstanding in every way”

Reviewed 12 May 2015

Much thought and consideration has been put into The Old Police House. It is tastefully and very comfortably furnished and everything one could require has been thought of and provided. There are many idyllic coastal walks from the front door and our dogs appreciated their holiday as much as we did. We have also stayed in all three Police House Cottages in the past and they are of an equally high standard. Very highly recommended.
