Description

A beautifully renovated 19th Century gritstone cottage in the heart of the Peak District, Woodview is a warm, cosy retreat full of character and charm. Fabulous country kitchen diner, cosy sitting room, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Two bathrooms - one on ground floor. The house faces a quiet lane across a traditional cottage front garden, with driveway parking for two cars. At the rear, a small secluded south-facing walled garden overlooks a paddock and open countryside.Elton is a tranquil village, a bit of a backwater but situated on the Limestone Way long distance path roughly halfway between Matlock and Bakewell. There are excellent footpaths locally - the nearest passes behind the garden to Pikehall and Gratton Dale. Robin Hood Stride and Hermit's Cave is a great circular walk from the house.

. Other local attractions include Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, and the High Peak and Monsal Trails for walking and cycling. Unspoilt upland villages nearby
