Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Edinburgh, the Capital city of Scotland and one of Europe's most beautiful capital cities is a great destination for a city break at any time of year. Edinburgh has much to offer, be it stunning architecture, history, culture, as well as superb shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and nightlife.

Edinburgh

For those not familiar with Edinburgh, "Duddingston village" is situated within the heart of the city, about 2 km from the castle and on the boundary of the Queen's park which surrounds Holyrood Palace. It is best to access the "village" from the Queens park. The house is directly opposite the Duddingston Kirk manse. Duddingston village is also home to Edinburgh's oldest pub-The Sheep's Heid. Also within 200 meters of the house is Edinburgh's best kept secret - Dr Neil's garden - this is a wonderfully tranquil, beautifully maintained and well stocked garden possessing many secluded and romantic picnic spots.
