“Beautiful apartment for large group”
The location was fantastic, with a supermarket at the bottom of the stairs and plenty of pubs & restaurants. The apartment is just a 20 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh, but there are also plenty of buses & taxis are reasonably priced. The living-room/dining area is very comfortable with seating for 12 guests and the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of glasses & crockery. The stairs up to the apartment might prove a challenge for some, but my husband managed them easily just 2 months after a hip replacement. Excellent communication from the owners pre-arrival, would definitely recommend.
“Memories Were Made Here”
We appreciated that we were able to move in and make a cup of tea - milk/tea/coffee & shortbread were provided by the owners. The kitchen was well stocked, never did we run short of a plate, glass or fork, all the appliances in good working order. Our group included two 70+ grandparents, fortunately, fit seniors who were able to tackle the stairs up/down to the apartment. This spacious apartment was ideal for our stay in Edinburgh.
“Super apartment!”
From first contact with the owners, everything went well with our booking. Judy was very responsive, helpful and friendly. On arrival, we were met by the lovely Karen, the property manager. She gave us a warm welcome, ensured we were all comfortable in the flat, and pointed out that there were teabags, coffee, dishwasher tablets, etc that we could help ourselves to. In short, we were well set up for our stay! Karen even gave two of us a lift into town on the way to her next appointment. The apartment itself was really lovely - very tastefully decorated and furnished, and with lots of space for a large group. The photos are a true reflection of what's on offer. We particularly liked the open-plan kitchen and living area, as this was so sociable. There were lots of stairs up to the front door - not a problem for any of our group, but worth bearing in mind. Location-wise we found it perfect - close to many festival venues, but away from the very busy streets. There were lots of nice places to eat and drink nearby, as well as two supermarkets for stocking up on food and drink. (Just bear in mind that alcohol can't be sold in any off-licence setting after 10pm in Scotland. That caught us out!) The apartment is also quite close to Arthur's Seat, so it's handy for those wanting to get up there for the wonderful views. Overall, we can highly recommend this apartment and have already booked to return next year!
