Description from owner

Description

Langunnett Cottage is set in a development of 8 cottages on the hillside overlooking the Looe estuary and countryside. It comfortably accommodates 5 guests with three bedrooms, all ensuite, an outside patio area and a southwest facing balcony allowing plenty of evening sunshine. There's room for a sixth guest if needed via a provided foldaway bed (suitable for children).

On the ground floor is a comfortable lounge with doors that open out on to the patio area, a flat screen TV, blueray DVD, bluetooth DAB radio, board games and a Wii console (bring own controllers and games). An archway leads through to the dining area with table and six chairs. A few stairs take you to the first floor where there is a well equipped, modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/drier. Also on this floor is a single bedroom with en suite shower room.

A few more stairs lead up to the second floor where the large master bedroom has a kingsize bed, plenty of storage space and a spacious ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower. This bedroom has access out on to the balcony with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and river. The twin bedroom, also on this floor, has a large en suite bathroom with bath and separate shower and this room also has access out on to the balcony. Gas central heating is provided keeping the property cosy all year round.

Langunnett is a 10-15 minute downhill walk into Looe town centre with all it has to offer - golden sandy beach, rock pools, harbour, shops, and a wide choice of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. It's also just a few minutes walk from Looe train station. Parking is provided via a private driveway and an allocated parking space for the cottage. There is a further visitor space for extra vehicles used on a first come first served basis.

Guests should be aware that there are numerous steps (some steep) both in and around the cottage and grounds. Guests with pushchairs should also be aware that there is no pavement for a short distance on the walk into town.

Guests will enjoy a comfortable stay all year round at Langunnett, it is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday and for exploring Cornwall and Devon.

“Langunnett Cottage - the perfect place to stay in Looe.”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2017

This beautiful cottage is set looking over the estuary and the harbour which is beautifully illuminated at night. It is a five minute walk into the town with a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. There is also a petrol station located nearby. The cottage is fully kitted out with everything that you will need and even had milk in the fridge for us! The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking the pictures cannot do this property justice. Tracy is a fantastic point of contact, not only for the property but also for things to do in and around Looe, as she has a fountain of knowledge. We received very detailed instructions on how to find the property and how to obtain the key etc. 10/10

Owner's reply: Thanks Andrew, glad you had a good time!

“A very comfortable cottage with beautiful views”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2016

The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing break and the ensuites to each bedroom were great to have. We all liked the quirky split levels of the cottage with the 2 balconies with lovely views of Looe and the valley and from where we could watch the sun setting each evening. We didn't use our car during our stay choosing to walk into Looe or use local transport. The station is just down the road from the cottage from where it is a pleasant journey along the valley to connect to the main line at Liskeard. The older teenagers enjoyed a trip to Plymouth shopping for the day. As mentioned in previous reviews there are plenty of steps from the cottage and as you join the road a stretch without pavement but with the light summer evenings this was ok. We had a couple of very good meals at the Black Swan in Looe and can also recommend the food and coffees from the Cornish Bakehouse next to the Ship Inn. Would happily return.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and welcome you back in the future.
