September and October can have the most beautiful days in the west of Ireland. The holiday crowds are gone. The days are mostly bright and long with the odd windy showery day. The light and scenery can be stunning. The autumn swells are rolling in to the coastline and the water is still relatively warm making it the perfect time for surfing.
