Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Easdale Island is a small Island 25 minutes south of the bustling harbour town of Oban yet is a world away from modern life. Reached by a foot ferry from a small village on Seil Island, there are no cars, roads or street lights, yet there is a pub/restaurant, a museum, a gallery, a hall hosting great Scottish bands and theatre, as well as marine wildlife tours of the area. The island has historical interest being one of the Slate islands that 'roofed the world' and the flooded quarries are now excellent spots for fishing or even a dip! The coast line around the island shines with fools gold found in the rock and the views from the house and the island are simply stunning, looking out to 13 islands of the Inner Hebrides. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday that embodies the spirit of the West Coast of Scotland, then Easdale is your place!
