“Perfect place to visit County Durham”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2018

The cottage was ideal for our holiday, it was very clean and tidy everything was maintained to a very high standard really impressed. The owners Dot and Dave were very friendly and helpful and a mine of information about the area. Lots of places to visit the Beamish Museum was excellent as were the High and Low force waterfalls many enjoyable walks and of course Durham itself we would definitely use the cottage again when visiting the area.

Owner's reply: We're very pleased you enjoyed your stay in the cottage and we appreciate you taking the time to write this lovely review. We would welcome you back anytime you are in the area.

“Convenient for Durham University”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2018

Just home from a long weekend at Willington Hall Cottage. This is truly the cleanest, most spacious and best equipped self-catering accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. I wish we could have stayed for a week. We were visiting my son who’s nearby at Durham university. Durham of course is beautiful but you must also fit in a visit to hand feed the deer at Whitworth Hall which is only a few minutes from the cottage. The owners next door are very welcoming and friendly and will help you out with anything you need to make your stay better - although I can’t think of anything you would need which isn’t already there.

Owner's reply: How kind of you to write such a glowing review, its very much appreciated. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay in the cottage and would welcome you back if you return to the area.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your delightful review. We're pleased you found the cottage ideally located for you to visit your family and the home comforts were to your liking to help you relax and enjoy your stay.
