Gorgeously built holiday villa, fully equipped to a top luxary standard, with terrace & swimming pool ( 3,8 x 7,5 m), panoramic view of vineyards, mountains as well as the village of Durban-Corbieres.

In the magnificent Cathar landscape is this village Durban-Corbieres. The lovely village is situated in the Languedoc region (Aude) in southern France. Villa "Fleur de Montagne" is on top of the hill overlooking the village.

The Lovely house comprises of an entrance hall and attached a patio open to the sky, a very big living room with an integrated modern fully equipped kitchen and the masters bedroom on this lower level.

On the higher level in the house ( 5 steps) , there is a double bedroom and a combined bedroom / TV-room, guest WC and a shower room. All sleeping rooms on the higher level are equipped with air-conditioning.

The house is furnished very comfortable to a top luxury standard.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern convenience including dishwasher and microwave. Spacious living room, with a fireplace, which opens out onto a magnificent teak deck surrounding the swimming pool.

A strong free WiFi-net makes access to Internet easy (no charges). A satellite TV, accessing free English and French channels, with a DVD-player and a DVD-library are available. Also installed is an Apple-TV to make it easy to look at the TV from a smartphone or iPad.

It is possible to play music on the HiFi-system from an iPhone or iPad.

A washing machine and a modern barbecue makes it all complete.

The house is intended for a group of maximum 6 persons

“A lovely relaxing location in a modern well equipped and comfortable villa.”

We spent a lovely and relaxing week at this modern villa in late June. The house suited our family, with 2 grown up children, very well. It was comfortable and well equipped with lots of modern kit (and wifi) and the small pool was a treat to cool off in. The village of Durban Corbieres is quiet but is in the scenic and historic Corbieres hills. It is well served by the local supermarket – the boulangerie ran out of bread and croissant quickly. It was a good location for us and we made some varied and delightful trips: for example to Carcassone and the Canal du Midi (hiring some bikes from Trebes was great) and down to the Pyrenees. We also loved the beach at Franqui (near Leucate) and the food at Place des Marches in Villesque de Corbieres. There is lots to see and do in the wider area although a car is essential.

We had a fantastic holiday staying at this gite in Durban-Corbieres. The weather was very hot so we really appreciated the swimming pool. We ate out several times at bars and restaurants in nearby villages abd had some excellent meals. We visited Carcassonne, Narbonne, Cathar castles, Limoux, the Minervois valley - there are lots of places to visit nearby. The gite has a well designed interior, and the quality of the furnishings and equipment is very good and well maintained. The local representative was helpful when we arrived, though we did not need to call on her for help during our stay! The pool area is well laid out and has fantastic views - our only minor quibble was that it was difficult to find shade out there during the middle of the day when the temperature was in the mid-thirties. After our wet Summer in England I should not really complain!

The villa had everything we needed to make our two week stay very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped with all items one would require during their time at the property, from all cutlery and crookery to the coffee maker and barbecue. The pool provided hours of entertainment with outstanding views over the mountains, we cannot praise this villa enough, it certainly has the WOW factor and we would definatley stay there again.

In searching the web for a holiday house you would be wise to be sceptical of the perfect pictures posted, designed to lure you into making a booking. In this case however, the pictures of Villa Fleur de Montagne, as good as they are, simply do not do it justice. The house and its location are breathtaking! We are family of 4 - mum, dad & two boys (aged 12 and 14) - and could not have wished for more. The standard of accommodation was first class, of high specification, clean and very well equipped. This is obviously a holiday home cherished by its owners, of impeccable taste, who make regular use of it themselves. Located on the hill overlooking the village of Durban, just 10 minutes walk away, the house enjoys magnificent panoramic views of the village and surrounding hillside. There are a small number of similar holiday residences next to each other but you would never know it - privacy is well respected and no property is overlooking its neighbour. If you can drag yourself away from the pool side, (the pool is of decent size and depth - not just ornamental), there is plenty to do and see but you'll find this well documented on other reviews. I don't know why I'm telling you all this since it's the sort of place one may wish to keep as a special secret!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this delightful villa. The house is light and airy, the furnishings attractive, well planned and well kept. We particularly appreciated the very comfortable beds. The kitchen, although small, is well planned and well equipped. We found everything we could possibly need and cooked in most nights, making good use of the good quality oven, hob and dishwasher. The terrace and pool were a pleasure and we loved the wide view of the surrounding countryside. Everything was very clean and the local 'manager' very helpful. We would happily visit again. The surrounding countryside is very attractive and we had some good days out to Carcassone and the coast (Collioure is particularly recommended). The few restaurants within 20 mins of the villa were very quiet when we visited.

The house was well-presented with unfussy decor that made it perfect for adults and small children alike. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped and there were plenty of plates, utensils etc. The wireless worked well, the children loved the TV and everyone enjoyed the clean pool with the great view. It is a much shorter walk down a footpath to the village than the drive up the hill from Durban-Corbieres suggests.
