From the owner

The Old Pigeonnier is a delightful stone-built gite constructed in the early 1800s. Located in a stunning, quiet, rural area but only 10 minutes drive from the bustling, picturesque villages of Duras, Eymet and Miramont.

Fully refurbished, the upstairs bedroom is a bright, airy mezzanine room with lovely views over the French countryside. It can be configured with either a super king sized bed or two 3ft single beds. Downstairs is an open-plan sitting/dining room and kitchen and a separate generous sized shower room.

The kitchen is well equipped with a full sized oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. We supply a welcome pack of coffee, tea, fresh milk, bread, butter, jam and cheese and of course a bottle of our excellent local wine!

Bed linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly.

Outside in the large courtyard is a covered terraced area with seating ideal for outdoor eating and relaxing. The views surrounding the property are far reaching and deer can often be seen grazing. We have resident barn owls and hen harriers and other beautiful birds of prey can often be seen overhead.

There is a secluded salt water swimming pool (10m X 5m with Roman steps) surrounded by a sunbathing terrace where there are sun loungers and umbrellas for your use. Pool towels can be provided on request. (The pool is used only occasionally by the owners.)

Des and Sarah, the owners live on-site with their two dogs Harry and Ozzie and are very willing to offer advice and to be on hand should you have any queries - however your privacy will be respected at all times.

Dogs are welcome, but must not be allowed on the furniture or beds. They must be supervised at all times.

We regret that due to the STEEP STAIRCASE The Old Pigeonnier is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Why can't I call Sarah (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sarah (the owner) a message.

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
