This Luxury 3 Bedroom Apartment in a quiet location is within easy walking distance from the hustle and bustle of the Puerto de la Duquesa Marina and Beach. Situated 50 minutes from Malaga Airport, or 25 minutes from Gibraltar Airport, on the Duquesa Golf Course. The complex has underground parking with direct access to the apartment via a lift. The accommodation is furnished to a high standard and offers air-conditioning, central heating and marble floors throughout, two bathrooms (one en-suite), modern kitchen including oven & hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster & kettle. The spacious living room comprises of two sofas, Radio, CD, DVD & TV which receives satellite channels, patio doors lead onto a large balcony. The balcony is ideal for eating Al Fresco, relaxing with a drink after a game of golf or watching the sunset after a day sunbathing on one of the many sunloungers by one of the two lovely swimming pools
Apartment Location: The location of the apartment was selected very carefully, offering an ideal balance of lively bars and restaurants a short walk away while the apartment resides in a peaceful environment without noise from the main coastal road and Marina. The nearest bar is about 5 minutes walk and the Marina 10 minutes walk.
The nearest beach spans both sides of the marina on one side past the village of Sabinillas (20 min walk via the promenade) and on the other past the fishing hamlet of Castillo Duquesa. Another popular beach is in the nearest town Estepona a 15-minute drive away.
The Marina has all the essential shops including a small supermarket, newsagent, Internet cafe, and gift shop. Sabinillas has a wider variety of shops including two larger supermarkets. Estepona has many shops and a large Carrefour supermarket.
Places to Go: As part of your stay you may wish to visit the surrounding area and Duquesa is in an ideal location. Some examples are: Marbella and Puerto Banus are a stones throw away (25 mins). Gibraltar is (25 mins) where you can get duty free goods and see the famous apes on the rock. Tangiers can be accessed by ferry (15 mins). Casares (15 mins) & Gaucin (20 Mins) are beautiful Andalusian white villages in the hills. Ronda (approx 1hr 30 mins) is well worth a visit for the day and make sure you go past Ronda on the A-376 towards Seville about 20 minutes outside Ronda there is the most beautiful turquoise lake. Selwo Park, a nature park based on an African Safari Park which houses over 2000 animals in the semi wild (15mins).

The Andalucia region
Puerto de la Duquesa is situated in Andalucia on the Western Costa del Sol. Puerto de la Duquesa which is a well kept secret along this coastline and is known as the new 'Golden Mile' on the Costa Del Sol or 'the other Costa Del Sol'. The essence in this distinction is that the area retains vast areas of unspolit natural scenery and authentic local character.
Whether you want to laze on one of the blue flag beaches, have lunch in a Chiringuito on the beach, hire a boat from the Marina, walk in the hills, visit the beautiful white villages or play golf, Duquesa has it all!
In addition to this there are amusement parcs and water parcs a short drive away (40/45 minutes) and the Selwo Park Estepona based on an African Safari Park (10/15 mins).
The lively Marina boasts many restaurants and bars catering for all tastes, A lovely walk along a promenade joins Duquesa Port with the small village of Sabinillas.
Fifteen minutes by car will take you to the town of Estepona and a further ten minutes will take you to Marbella.
Gaucin & Casares famous Andalucian white villages in the hills are also only a short drive away (10/15 mins) and Ronda is a little further (1 hour).
The Western Costa Del Sol borders the Costa De La Luz (cost of light) where you can visit Gibratar (30 mins), Tarifa favourite with windsurfers (1 hour) and catch a ferry across to Morocco.
Golf courses are in abundance along the coast and many are within 15 minutes drive. These include Duquesa, Dona Julio, Casares (9 hole), Fincon Cortesan, Valderrama, San Roque, Marbella Golf Resort, Marbella Golf & Country, Sotogrande, Alcaidesa, Estepona and La Canada.
A little background on why this apartment and the local area. I first visited Duquesa about 15 years ago as a friends parents had an apartment here. I fell in love with the port and marina and loved the golf courses around. I bought this apartment off-plan because I love the location as there was little noise from the main A7 unlike the apartments in the Marina that have this busy road directly behind them and because it was a new build it was a higher spec, had a lift and an undergound car parking space which many of the older properties did not.
One of the main benefits is it is in tranquil location, benefits from 2 swimming pools and an underground parking space but is in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of the port, shops and beach.
The large apartment is light and airy with a terrace which is not overlooked and is quiet where one can relax and read a book, listen to music or have an afternoon snooze
The port is about a 10/15 walk away, half way there is Fino's Wine Bar, a Tapas Bar, Kellys (a great place for Breakfast if you want to pop out) and several shops.
On a clear day you can see Morocco in the distance from the Terrace.
