“perfect holiday apartment for family of 4”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2015

Perfect holiday apartment for our clan of 4 ... high quality furniture, kitchen inventory, lovely bathrooms, aircon, UK TV, private balcony , great access to best pool in the complex, felt very secure and safe and well looked after by the agents on arrival and throughout our stay, you will need a car to stay here but only 5 minute drive to the Port Area ... but this means nice and peaceful in the evenings and through the night. We have booked already for 2016, i highly rate the apartment and the complex ...

“Great location and apartment.”

We had a great 10 day family stay in Duquesa Village. The apartment was extremely, clean, spacious and great value for money. Duquesa Village had lovely pools to chill out in.

“Time of Refreshing”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2014

I needed a getaway in the worse way and I found it here in Duquesa, a lovely sleepy hill town that housed my rented 2 bedroom condo. I had all the amenities of home but with a view that accentuated the beauty of the Mediterranean. A hop skip and jump from everything, I lazed in Sabinillas, Puerta Banus, Casaras, Gibraltar, Estepona, and Malaga. It was a great time of relaxation. I look forward to bringing my family and friends the next time around, which will be soon.

Owner's reply: The apartment is a good location from which to explore the South West of Spain. Road links are excellent. A car is essential. You can explore to your heart's desire, or simply relax by one of the beautiful pools in the complex, all within a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. Alternatively you can remain local- go down to the marina for great food and cocktails, laze on the beach, take a dip in the warm Mediterranean sea.......all just a few minutes drive from the apartment......

“Excellent Stay - Highly Recommended”

I stayed here for my birthday and had an excellent holiday. Beautiful apartment with a beautiful view, I would recommend this to anyone from families to a group of friends. The location was close enough to enjoy the beach, an array of restaurants and shops but far enough away to enjoy peace and solitude. I LOVED it and will definitely be back!!

“Beautiful Apartment, Gorgeous Area - Excellent”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2014

This apartment is absolutely beautiful. There were three of us in total and we enjoyed every second. The apartment is located in an area called Duquesa and it so beautiful and there is plenty to do. The scene that you get from the balcony are amazing. The apartment was clean, tidy and we had a welcome pamper awaiting us when we got there. We were celebrating my friends birthday and to our surprise we had a birthday pamper. This was a pleasant surprise and added to the whole experience. There is a marine at the bottom of the gill with different restaurants and eateries where you can experience real authentic spanish food. All in all had such a wonderful time. The weather was hot and the apartment is very welcoming and homely. I could easily live there :-)

Owner's reply: We can cater for all occasions. For this special birthday, we provided balloons, candles, delicious little nibbles and a special little gift. We have also welcomed honeymooners, people celebrating anniversaries and other special occasions. Do let us know if there is a special occasion when you book.

“The apartment is spacious and clean and excellent value for money”

We had a great family holiday. We are always a little concerned arriving at a holiday rental but we need not have worried with this apartment. It was spacious and very clean and had everything needed for the fortnight. The manager (Karen) was very helpful and always contactable. The complex has wonderful pools for both adults and children. The photpgraphs on the website do not do the apartment justice. On the downside, you definitely need a car as it is about 5 minute drive to the beach and shops. The climb back up is a killer. Sabanillas is very near and is wonderful. Estepona is a 15 minute drive and is a fabulous destination with great beaches. All in all, well worth a stay. We would certainly go back.

Owner's reply: We are delighted that you and your family had a great stay. Our wish is that all our guests enjoy our luxury apartment, and so far we are delighted to say that this has been achieved 100%. Our 2 bedroom Sea View apartment in Duquesa, Costa del Sol, is particularly suited to families. It is spacious, and has every amenity necessary for an unforgettable, great holiday stay. Guests often refer to it as 'home from home'. Everything supplied at the apartment, as well as the apartment itself, is of a high standard, totally conducive to a great holiday. Our apartment is flexible, as it is very popular with couples also. In addition to a terrace which offers sea view candlelit drinks and dinners, it has a very intimate and romantic feel, which is further enhanced with the new walk-in spacious shower which offers plenty of room for two to shower....Nuestra casa es muy bonita (Our apartment is very beautiful).....

“Lovely, spacious apartment in a well-kept development with excellent pools.”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2014

This apartment is excellent and was ideal for my wife and I and our 3 children, age 9,11 and 13. It has 2 bedrooms with high quality furniture and a decent folding bed that was ideal for our 9 year old. The great thing for our family was the wi-fi, which also gave us some UK TV channels. We had friends staying in another apartment in this complex which didn't have wi-fi or TV and they really missed it. The air conditioning was only needed intermittently but with such great weather it was very welcome when used. The kitchen was well-equipped with spacious fridge-freezer, dishwasher and plenty of crockery and cutlery etc, and the washing machine was an unexpected bonus. There are 5 swimming pools on the complex, all with plenty of free-to-use loungers (although they could do with a few more that had a workable backrest). The main pool has a lifeguard, which is good when you have young children, but you can get away with a few more somersaults and ball games in the other pools! We also used the paddle tennis court - it's a cross between tennis and outdoor squash. You have to have your own paddles and balls and get the key from security but we managed to borrow some equipment - it's good fun and free to use. The complex is really well-maintained and the gated security and underground parking space adds to the feeling that you are safe and secure. We were met by the owner's agent who was very welcoming and knows the area well and that made arriving and getting settled in very easy. The only minor downside is that the complex is about 2km away from the central marina area of Puerta de la Duquesa and is up on the hillside. It was too far and hilly for us to walk so we drove down the hill and parked to go over to the port. This wasn't that much hassle for us and meant that my holiday alcohol consumption was a bit lower than usual, no bad thing. All in all we had a lovely holiday based at the apartment. We drove to the big aquapark in Torremolinos, spent a day on Estepona beach and also went to Gibraltar twice (only about 35mins drive). The rest of the time we spent round the pool at the aparment complex which was never overly busy, and had a lovely time soaking up the sun. I can only highly recommend it.

Owner's reply: Thank you. The apartment is set high in the hills of Sabinillas which affords beautiful mountain and sea views. It also offers a brisk 20 minute uphill walk from the beach, or just a 5 minute drive, with plenty of free parking along the sea front. The beach extends for miles, so there is always plenty of room for sunbathing or beach games, irrespective of how many people are using the beach, with easy access to numerous cafes and restaurants. The high Mediterranean temperatures means that walking is best done at dawn or dusk so you can take in the sun setting or rising as you contemplate the beautiful breathtaking views around you. Swimming of course can be done at any time of day in the cooling waters of the Mediterranean, or in one of the five beautifully-maintained pools in the village complex within which the apartment is located.

“Lovely, quiet and peaceful"”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2014

Have just got back from a week staying here with two friends. We all had a very nice time. The apartment and its surroundings are so quiet and peaceful which was very much appreciated. We had a hire car which made getting about a lot easier as it is quite hilly where the apartment is. We found the apartment to be spacious, and very clean and modern. It was very useful having the wifi in the apartment, and this is something we used quite a bit, to access things back home as well as find out about things in the local area. The pool areas were quiet and well looked after, most days we were on our own at the pool we used as it wasn't yet peak season! The port of Duquesa is very pretty and has a wide variety of restaurants and bars. We ate twice at "The Bistro" which had fabulous food. Would definitely visit again for another holiday, and would recommend to others.

Owner's reply: Thank you. This was a group of three friends who particularly enjoyed the free WIFI and UK TV channels. Our free internet accessibility makes it easy to keep in touch with home, or just to keep abreast of your favourite TV soaps. Also handy to find out about local amenities, although there are always local magazines and newspapers supplied for each guest stay which offers local news, information and special money-off vouchers. Rather not use the internet on holiday? Want to relax and get away from it all? That's fine! Another great source of information are our very-accommodating agents, who personally maintain the apartment and keep it at it's very high standard. They have lived in the area for 20+ years, are very approachable and friendly, and will tell you anything you wish to know, as well as make great recommendations for relaxation and leisure. It's your holiday, you do entirely what you wish to! Just have a great time! Our apartment caters for groups of different ages and different needs. It is very accessible, and would suit people who have additional mobility needs. We aim to be as flexible as possible to meet people's needs, to the point of our agents being present in person to meet people whatever time they land, even late in the evenings or early mornings. Our agents will meet and greet guests in person at the apartment, along with a welcome basket containing essentials such as water, milk, tea bags and cakes, and a bottle of wine, to get you in the holiday mood, and relaxed straight away.....

“Home from home, with excellent customer service”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

Having previously rented apartments through villa rental companies, I have to say I was a little apprehensive when I set out to rent privately but I need not have worried. From the time I made initial contact to enquire about the apartment, the owner could not have been more helpful. Our flight arrived late in the night - this was not an issue- we were told that whatever time we arrived the owners representative would greet us.Not only that but on arrival there was a welcome pack of tea/coffee etc, bottled water and even a bottle of Cava chilled in the fridge ! The night before we departed for our holiday we received an email wishing us a pleasant stay and the day we arrived home another email to enquire about our stay - it was personal touches like this which really made a difference. The apartment itself is really lovely - beautiful modern decoration, spotlessly clean, contained everything you could need for a pleasant stay. We had no problems settling in and it really did feel like a home from home. The apartment complex is well maintained with a choice of 5 pools none of which are overly busy so perfect for relaxing. The Duquesa area really is wonderful.Despite the fact that there are plenty of tourists it never feels "touristy" like some of the bigger resorts. The marina is beautiful, lots of nice restaurants and a lovely place to have dinner and take a stroll. My favourite part of the evening however was returning to the apartment to sit on the balcony, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and round off the evening with a nice glass of wine!

“Lovely Apartment Great Location”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2013

Just here for a week but what a great trip it turned out to be! Met on arrival by the owners representatives who were very friendly and helpful and settled us in quickly, giving us all the information we needed to appreciate the apartment and the locale. The apartment itself is very comfortable and of a good size, the kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped, with furnishing to the living areas and the bedrooms again modern and very comfortable. There is access to 5 swimming pools within the complex and all were spotlessly clean and well maintained. I would recommend a hire car for seeing the surrounding areas and getting down into the port itself, although having said that I actually enjoyed walking down and back each evening for the exercise and leaving the car at the apartment (approx 20 mins each way).
