There are four swimming pools, sauna, gymnasium and paddle tennis all within a secure gated community. Centrally located between Puerto Duquesa Marina and the Spanish fishing town of Sabinillas, Marina Duquesa is a modern beachfront apartment complex with underground parking, lifts, marble floor communal areas, sun loungers set in lush tropical landscaped gardens.

Our large 2 bedroom apartment sleeps 6, 3 single beds in one bedroom, and 3 people in the master bedroom which has a double and separate single bed.

Leading into the apartment through the patio doors, there is a very spacious living room with two leather sofas, coffee table, TV, DVD player and Sky TV with English Channels.

Kitchen Dinner
In the fully fitted kitchen there is a dining table and chairs, dishwasher, built in cooker, plenty of crockery, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.

Utility Room
Washing Machine, storage cupboards and hot water tank.

Master Bedroom
One large double bed with wardrobes, TV, DVD player, bedside cabinets, cupboards and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Plus Single Bed if required.

2nd Bedroom
Three single beds with bedside cabinets, wardrobe in the corridor.

Family Bathroom
The family bathroom has a built in shower..

NB: Cot and Highchair can be arranged for a minimal hire fee.

Granada and the Alhambra Palace

Duquesa

Puerto de la Duquesa is the Costa del Sol's best-kept secret.

Conveniently served by two airports, Malaga (40 - 50 minutes) and Gibraltar (25 – 35 minutes) La Duquesa enjoys an advantageous location west of Marbella. To the East of Puerto De La Duquesa lies Estepona with its traditional town and fishing port, to the west lays Sotogrande which is an exclusive gated resort development in Spain and to the north, Casares with its Moorish cliff-hugging town and spectacular scenery. The whole area is dominated by the Sierra Bermeja Mountains

Among the many attractions are miles of beautiful uncrowded beaches, promenades with bars, restaurants, cafes and services such as supermarkets and an internet / business cafe nestled around the Marina. The choice of eating and drinking options include French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and, of course, Spanish with its fresh, local fish.

The area retains a vast amount of unspoiled natural scenery and authentic local character, while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol. The promenade stretches across from Puerto Duquesa to San Luis De Sabinillas, a traditional Spanish fishing town, and a flat walk for a distance of 3 - 4 kilometres end to end. Most commonly known as “Sabinillas” the town has several bars, restaurants and cafes that encourage you to watch the world go by. The local fishermen launch small boats from the beach, returning at night, or day, with their catch. You will often see restaurateurs waiting for their return to select the day’s menu. The café and restaurants that face the beach are varied and plentiful, offering a range of cuisine that should meet the needs of all. There is a wonderful market every Sunday behind the promenade towards the inland, selling a variety of crafts, local home grown / made foods and clothing.

Puerto De La Duquesa itself is home to an 18 hole, 70 par golf course. This typical Trent Jones layout demands concentration and straight driving. As one of the most attractive and complete courses in the area it offers numerous facilities and is nestled in the vineyard regions of Manilva and enjoys views of Gibraltar and North Africa. With the last nine holes being played on an incline, this is a scenic and challenging golf course.

Playas Duquesa and Castillo stretch to around 1150 metres across both sides of the blue flag marina. It has a range of rocky outcrops and wide sandy beaches stretching either sides of the Marina. The port and it supporting beaches are popular with families and couples. The Chirunguitos (beach restaurant / Café) provide inexpensive refreshments and the gorgeous outlook is free!

The “blue flag” Sabinillas beach stretches to around 1650 metres between the Puerto de la Duquesa and Manilva, and includes the entire frontage of the town of Sabinillas. Sabinillas beach is also a working fisherman’s beach as local fishermen still launch their boats here.The beaches are cleaned daily throughout the summer and several lifeguards and first aiders are available to offer help where and when required. A full range of water sports and beach activities are available on the Sabinillas side of the marina. Both beaches provide plenty of space even during peak season.

“Fantastic Holiday”

We have just returned from a 12 night stay in this apartment. We had a wonderful time. Our apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It is the best layout of apartment we have stayed in. We chose the apartment for its location in the complex due to our youngest childs special needs and it did not disappoint at all, We were on holidays with another family and our apartment became the base for its location. The complex is a great location to the beach and the port is only minutes away. We will return to this apartment again hopefully. Also for an extra bit of info is transfer from Malaga, the best way we found was Malaga Cabbie for 86 euro using non toll roads. They were there waiting at the airport and collected on time for us and the other family we were with. Thanks again Mark your apartment and Duquesa have been a great little find for our family.
