St George’s Cottage is located in the medieval village of Dunster. Situated within the glorious Exmoor National Park, St George’s Cottage provides the perfect holiday cottage for you to rent to explore the surrounding area.

The cottage occupies a central position within the village, overlooking St George’s Church.

Parking Space

Private Parking Space (150 yards from the cottage) which can accommodate two medium sized cars.

Bedrooms –

Master Bedroom

The Master Bedroom includes a king sized bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, two chests of drawers. The room offers idyllic views across to St George’s Church.

The Second Bedroom

The Second Bedroom includes a guest bed with trundle bed. This enables single, twin and double bed options to be offered within this room. The room also includes a wardrobe and chest of drawers with dressing table mirror.

Bathroom –

The bathroom includes the original cast iron bath with an overhead shower, toilet and handbasin.

Bath Sheets and Hand Towels are provided and included in the cost of the rental.

Lounge –

The lounge offers comfortable and cosy seating, with a Chesterfield leather sofa and chair and additional black leather chair. A woodburner is also within the lounge, offering additional warmth during those colder winter days (the cottage does have full gas central heating).

There is a 32” TV and DVD in the lounge, with FreeSat box offering over 200 channels to watch. There is also a DVD player available with a selection of DVDs. We have ‘hidden’ all the mod cons within the cupboard next to the fireplace, but simply open the door and pull the TV out – when finished, push the draw back and close the cupboard!

We have BT infinity within the cottage which is included within the price.

A selection of books are also available within the cottage.

Kitchen –

The kitchen in St George’s is fully equipped, there is a microwave and fridge freezer. The kitchen offers seating for 3 at a refectory table. Alternatively, there are a set of four foldable chairs and a drop leaf table within the cottage, which when set up in the lounge offers a fantastic seating option for family meals.

The property has full gas central heating – this is included in the rental price of the property.

All linens and towels are included within the rental of the property.


As a proud Border Collie owner, we welcome dogs to stay at the cottage, subject to prior approval. We charge an additional £20 per dog/ per week at the cottage and allow a maximum of 2 medium sized dogs. Please inform us of any pets you would like to bring to the cottage.

Do not leave the windows open when you leave the cottage
Dogs are not left unattended in the cottage
Please use coasters when placing drinks on the table
If you break anything please inform us immediately and settle the cost of replacement.
Do not move furniture around the cottage or take any items of furniture outside
Upon leaving the premises please make sure that the cottage is generally clean and tidy.

Why can't I call Alex (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alex (the owner) a message.

If Alex (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
