many historic houses to visit in the locality includeing Manderson House, mellerstain,paxton house and floors castle. other points of interest include the Jim Clark memorial room, st abbs head nature reserve and clifftop walks. historic towns of Eyemouth and the Abbey towns of Kelso,Melrose and Jedburgh

east access to the beautiful landscapes of the lamermuirs for hill walking and the rugged coastline of north northumberland with Bamburgh castle
