Hunters Quay Holiday Lodge is a standard holiday lodge within the Hunter's Quay Holiday Village, near Dunoon in Argyll. It's well equipped to a good standard, warmly furnished and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday – a true 'home from home'. With a stunning view over the Holy Loch and this classic family holiday can sleep six, with three bedrooms, one twin double with en-suite shower, one double, one smaller bedroom with full size bunk beds. A great base for families looking for a budget getaway.
The comfortable lounge and living area is the prefect place to relax, includes Freeview TV and DVD player with a substantial movie library. A patio door from the lounge leads on to a covered deck with an amazing view over the Holy Loch and River Clyde. Chairs and tables are provided for alfresco dining. A new fitted kitchen and recently refurbished bathroom complete the picture. Dunoon is a centre for all outdoor activities. There are picturesque walks and cycle paths all around this area. The Holy Loch Marina is nearby. Golfers are well catered for with one 18-and nine-hole courses in Dunoon, Blairmore and Innellan.

“Small but cosy log cabin with great view”
Arrived for the last week of the Scottish school Summer holidays, with four boys aged 8, 9, 11 and 12. The lodge wasn't easy to find from the map given - I'd suggest an improvement on that - and the road we took to get into the holiday park was riddled with potholes. But once we arrived at our accommodation we were pleasantly surprised to find a cosy kitchen/sitting room with a patio looking out over the water, and three good-sized bedrooms. There were challenges. The wardrobe door in the main bedroom wouldn't fully open, as the bed was too close, and there was a sign asking us not to move the bed. So it was necessary to squeeze into a corner of the room to hang up clothes. The bunk beds were in a very small room, and so the kids decided to take it in turns to sleep in the bigger twin-bedded room which had a shower in there. There was no working light in the room with bunk beds, and the owner's brother arrived after we'd stayed two nights, to fix it (he'd been told by the cleaner of the problem). The water in the bathroom had to be heated up over a period of time, so we just used the shower in the twin room. The water pressure wasn't great and the temperature difficult to control - veering from ice cold to scalding hot. But the positives... the beds were comfortable, the bedding warm and clean, and the property well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, etc. We only had to bring our own towels and loo roll - everything else was provided. A walk to reception revealed lots of activities for the kids, including a free soft play and outdoor play area. But we took the boys swimming at the Dunoon pool - which has a waterslide and was much cheaper for us all (just over £8 for two adults and four kids, compared to £40 at the holiday park) Being a family of six, we found the property a bit of a squash by the end of our week there. I'd recommend it for two adults and two kids. But it was good value for money. For us, we'd probably prefer it as a weekend getaway, rather than an extended holiday in future.
Place was clean and tidy, a great base to discover the whole area. It was very comfortable and plenty of room for the three boys to play in.

I've been to hunters quay many times but I still enjoy it as much every time I go the scenery is beautiful and amenities all being under one roof more or less plenty of activity for the grandchildren

“Weekend family break”
The location is peacefull and not overlooked with lovely view out onto the Holy Loch. It's handy for Dunoon and local forest walks in the Argyll region. The lodge itself is good very spacious for the 6 adults in our group and our dog. It is well laid out and clean. With a modern well equiped kitchen and bathroom, beds were comfortable although the bunk beds are a little short if you are tall. Plenty of seating for all, although sofa is a little dated but comfortable, a sofa bed would have been ideal for our taller guests. TV/DVD and a music player help pass the late evenings away. The lodge heats up quick and retains its heat nicely throughout the night. The balconny offers lovely views but loses the sun in the afternoon, Decking to the rear would be benificial but to be honest it is surrounded with a large grass area and you could just through a blanket on that. Booking and instructions were all easy and as written with no issues, and I would happily recommend this Lodge.

“Fantastic for a quiet break.”
We have stayed in this lodge two years in a row now. Very peaceful, everything we needed was in the lodge. Lovely setting and a nice walk to leisure centre for swimming pool and restaurant. Would recommend
“Really quiet and lovely place”
Had a lovely time, enjoyed the lodge, with Its views across the holy loch, the park is very well kept, (apart from the private road leading to lodge, which needs an overhaul), some of the furnishings in lodge could be replaced, as looking a bit tired, (but wasn't really a big problem), TV was good and kitchen was new. Beds were comfy, so had good sleeps. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Would deffinately return. :)

“Great value for money and great for kids!!”
We were a little reluctant at first given that it was next to a caravan site but the lodges were spread out with great views! The facilities on the caravan site for kids were good. Swimming expensive but good. Soft play and grill great, food nice too!!! Shop doesn't have much but there was a morrisons in town which we used. All in all great and looking forward to going back.
