Gateway Annexe is situated in the Gold award winning village of Dunnington and only 15 minutes from the historical city of York. Park and Ride around 5 mins drive away. Our Annexe is Ideally placed for access into York or visits to the Dales, Moors, North Yorkshire's beautiful coast line, including Whitby , Scarborough, Filey or Bridlington.

This annexe is suitable for couples, singles, walkers, cyclists, looking for that special break. The large windows over look countyside and there is a beautiful garden enhanced with an abundance of trees and shrubs. The annexe has a fully fitted well equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a double walk in shower, sink and toilet. The living area has plenty of sitting space and 42 inch TV. The bed is king size. The property is all on one level. There is free Internet and wi-fi access. We have Off street parking and the security of electric gates at night.

Getting around

Park and Ride bus service is less than 10 mins away by car and idea to take you into the city centre. The number 10 to poppleton bus from the village takes you straight into the city centre. It runs about every half hour and hourly later in the evenings. The return bus is number 10 Stamford Bridge, stopping at Dunnington. Time table available in the Annexe. There are a number of car parks in the town centre if you would like to use your car

My husband or myself will be available to show you around when you arrive, and will leave you the keys and all information that you may require to help with your stay. We are just next door if there is anything you need or if you would like a chat.

A dog is a welcome visitor at Gateway annexe. However please tell us if you would like to bring a pet and observe the following house rules. Please clean up after exercising your pet in the garden. A bin is provided. No dogs allowed on the furniture. No pet to be left on their own while the owners go out. Thank you for your consideration.

We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, but this was by far the best. Everything that you could wish for was provided, with many extras that you would not expect. The owners were friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The location was excellent, being a 10 minute drive from the Park and Ride bus to York city centre, and handy for the coast and many local attractions. The annexe itself was beautifully and expensively fitted out, and the garden was well kept and very pretty. All in all, highly recommended.

Very well appointed. You do not want for anything. Jean and George made us very welcome and could not do enough for us. A very quiet location with easy access to York. Recommend this to any couple.

Fabulous accommodation, with everything you need. Off road parking and a beautiful garden. George and Jean are excellent hosts. Dunnington is a very pretty village with convenient shops and lovely walks in the nearby woods for walking the dog. Perfect location - just a short drive to York centre and being on the outskirts gives easy access to visiting places outside of York. 10/10.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
