Also on the ground floor is a WC and Utility Room with a door leading out to the large garden. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, WC and WB. The second floor comprises of another double bedroom and a bathroom with bath, shower, WC and WB.

Just a kilometre away is the 13th Century Dunmore Castle with prehistoric fort. If you enjoy golf try and get a game or two in at the Dunmore Demesne Golf Course. This course has been designed by Eddie Hackett. If you are not too tired after this you can take a walk along the Bog Walk and the Dunmore Loop.

From the 4th to the 13th of August, 2017, there is the Dunmore Annual Festival. A ten-day feast with all sorts of activities for all ages: road race, traditional market day, live music sessions, sports activities, fancy dress night and way more. It's a great week to be in Dunmore.

This is often live music in one of the many pubs in Dunmore town. These 'sessions' are not always planned in advance but one of the locals will know when one is about to happen!

Just under an hour away by car is Galway city. Here you can spend a day soaking up the history of this vibrant city, wandering its ancient cobblestone streets that decorate the colourful, winding streets.

Other attractions within a day's car drive are:

• Achill Island - Many activities including walking, fishing, surfing and scuba diving

• Connemara National Park – home to the famous Connemara Pony

• Croagh Patrick – overlooks Clew Bay in County Mayo and is considered the holiest mountain in Ireland

Our house is, in short, the perfect place to return to after a busy day.
