“Heaven is a place called Craiglush”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2014

We had a fantastic stay at Craiglush House beside Craiglush Loch (4 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs), The house was perfect with plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, dining and two lounge areas. The bedrooms are great (comfy beds and linens) and the double rooms have fantastic loch views with access to ground and first floor terraces. The heating was easy to operate and the wood burning stove was a super addition - warm and very cozy. The ground floor windows are from ceiling to floor which enhanced the views of the loch - fantastic with every changing reflections. We were extremely lucky to see the Northern Lights one evening too. Dogs are allowed on the ground floor of the house - my two loved their stay, they happily bird watched regularly from the terrace and enjoyed their walks in the surrounding land. Craiglush House is at a beautiful location with complete privacy , the house is also near to the Loch of the Lowes where "Lady" probably the oldest breeding Osprey in the UK nests - she has an amazing story and fingers crossed she makes it back this year from West Africa. It is evident the owners have put heart and soul into their second home and you feel that as soon as you walk into the house. It was a real privilage to stay there for a week and I would highly recommend booking - I can't wait to go back - absolutely fabulous.
