Getting around

Dunkeld is a lovely wee village and getting around is best on foot as it is all within a couple of minutes walk to the centre of the village. If going further afield then there is a no 23 bus service to Perth, Aberfeldy etc that departs from across the road (timetables available at Perth and Kinross council website). For even further afield then there is Dunkeld and Birnam railway station where you can travel direct to Aviemore, Glasgow, Edinburgh. The station is about a 15 minute walk and it is a truly picturesque piece of Victorian architecture!

Interaction with guest

Keys are collected at the property and full instructions are emailed and kept within the house pack of information. However, if further information is required for the house or further activities in the area, please email or call and we would be delighted to help. Liz and Glen

“Glen Carra House”

Fantastic house for a family getaway. Modern, comfortable and well equipped with lovely garden. Great communication from owners who were very helpful and welcoming. The property is near the centre of Dunkeld but set back from the main road on a parallel cul de sac, which feels really safe with the kids but also gives more privacy. We had some great walks from the house and great to be close to shops and the hotel beer gardens by the river. Excellent find will definitely stay again!

Owner's reply: Thanks for the first class review and I am sorry to hear about the smell of smoke. Unfortunately we do have policies to try to stop smoking in the property and it's unfortunate that it's not been followed in this instance. We do air the house before follow on guests too and I will contact our cleaner to ensure she continues to do this in all rooms in case this was missed here. We hope to have you back at the house where, fingers crossed, it will be perfect for you! Glen

Excellent holiday home, well equipped for all the family, beautiful location, very central to Main Street.

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for the 5 star review, this really is appreciated. We also like being within a couple of minutes walk to the centre of Dunkeld. We typically don't use a car once we are there as everything is within walking distance from a peaceful country walk to an outing at the local restaurants. We hope you come and stay again!
