It looks over Trawneagh Bay and there is a safe, sandy beach right on your doorstep. There is good fishing in the many nearby lakes and walks to suit all ages and interests. Bikes are available to explore the surrounding countryside.

These plus the estuaries of Gweedore and Gweebarra provide rich feeding habitat for large numbers of bird species. FISHINGThe fishing enthuasist will be well catered for in the Rosses with 130 lakes, river, shore and sea fishing to choose from. Information on permits, boat hire, tackles and advice can be obtained from the Rosses angelers association. GOLF For golfers thers is a choice of excellent links courses to choose from in the Rosses area.The more energetic golfer will find sufficient challenge in the 18- hole links while those with a more leisurely approach will find the 9- hole links equally enjoyable. ACTIVITIES WITHIN 30KM Glenveagh National Park, Dunlewy Lakeside Centre, Daniel O'Donnells Viking Hotel and Donegal Airport. HORSE RIDING Horse riding is well established within the area and local stables provide for beach rides for beginners to two and three hour rides and a full day for more experienced riders.

Dungloe

Dungloe is the capital of the Rosses, an area lying between the estuaries of Gweedore and Gweebarra. It is well known as one of the most rugged parts of Ireland and an ideal base for an activity holiday.The oceans and lakes are perfect for fishing, wind surfing, swimming, canoeing, water sking and sailing.
