The Province of Ulster region
Donegal is without a doubt the most prolific County in Ireland when it comes to coastal and mountain scenery. There are literally hundreds of miles of amazing coastline with magnificent sandy beaches located in between.
As soon as you arrive in Dunfanaghy you immediately get that "holiday feeling" which emanates from this very pretty seaside town. The town has evolved as a centre of relaxation with pubs, restaurants, craft shop and art galleries.

"A very relaxing weekend"
After a very stressful few months we felt we needed a well earned break away and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect location. This holiday apartment ticked all our boxes. Beautifully presented and maintained, it was truly idyllic. The apartment had all the amenities needed and indeed I would go as far to say it was luxurious. The view over the sea from the apartment was breathtaking in the morning. It was quiet and peaceful and only a short drive from the town of dunfanaghy if we wanted a little excitement. Donegal were in the All Ireland Football Final so there was a real buzz about the town. I hope we get to go back to the apartment for another visit some time in the future.

"Horn Head really should be called Heaven Head"
Well what can I say other than amazing... Very hard to put into words the sheer beauty of this magnificent property and location. The cottage has a very rustic and traditional feel but with lots of modern features and technology that have been blended perfectly. We stayed for a long weekend but wish we had of booked a longer stay. The town of Dunfanaghy is small but has plenty of great pubs which provide live music every night of the week and are great for a nights entertainment. If you enjoy walking and taking in the sights this is also the place to be. Thanks very much for a great stay will be back in the near future all being well but this time for much longer I hope!!
