"Great apartment to come back to after a long day out"

A spacious, clean and warm apartment situated in an excellent location overlooking Dunbar harbour. Helpful owners who provided a lovely welcome pack and advice on places to go. Recommended.

This 2-bedroom apartment has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Fine views across the harbour to Bass Rock and out to sea. Well insulated, we did not need any heating during our October week holiday. Our lad (11) loved fishing and crabbing off the harbour walls, frequently visited by Sammy the seal. Easy parking nearby. Plenty cafes in the town, a short walk from the apartment. We visited a few castles, the air museum, and Edinburgh. Could be improved with WiFi, and maybe a second sofa, but overall a good holiday apartment.

"Beautiful home-from-home apartment"

Booked this apartment as a base for a family wedding at nearby Broxmouth Park and then to visit Edinborough Fringe last week. It's very comfortable & well appointed, close to all local amenities (for a special treat try the Creel Restaurant just across the road), with free on-street car parking and only a 10 minute walk from Dunbar train station (25 minutes into Edinborough Waverley Stn). The booking and arrival/departure process was faultless with Sally providing excellent communication at all stages. Would definately recommend. Thank you Sally.

"the best equipped apartment we have stayed in !"

Apartment was superbly equipped with plenty of space . The welcome gift was brilliant . Location by the harbour was lovely . It was a shame it wasn't on the ground floor - but we were aware of this anyway . Many thanks for a wonderful stay !

"Fantastic Holiday"

Had a great time at this lovely apartment. This really is a great place to stay and Sally has has thought of everything. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we are already planning a second trip.

"Beautiful house in an excellent location."

The Granary is a beautiful seaside themed home looking onto the harbor and Bass Rock in the distance. Great location for the beach and local pub and shops with 20 minute train journey into Edinburgh. Lovely welcome waiting from the owners on our arrival, couldn't ask for more.

"A great holiday flat, and very thoughtful owners"

Everything you'd need for a very relaxing holiday. An immaculate property, great location for SE Scotland and Northumberland, spectacular view out over Dunbar harbour, and a little welcome gift to boot. The lack of wifi was an annoyance for a day or so, until we learnt to get our caffeine and connectivity kick in a great little coffee shop nearby.

Our stay at The Granary, was without a doubt, the best accommodation we've encountered in all our travels. The harbour views were magnificent. A number of people who visited with us commented on the cleanlines of the the apt. and the freshness of the decor. Sally and Alec are excellent hosts.

"Beautifully presented apartment with perfect harbour vantage point."

We had an excellent holiday with our two children aged 7 and 2. The property is immaculate, child friendly, homely and with excellent attention to detail. Dunbar itself is a charming town and, with easy access to Edinburgh and the surrounding coast and countryside, makes for a great base for a family holiday. We enjoyed days on the beach at nearby Gullane, and North Berwick, a visit to the nearby national museum of flight and excursions to Edinburgh Zoo and Brittania. The children loved the leisure pool which is about 200 metres from the apartment.

If you're looking for a base to explore the best of what East lothian has to offer then don't miss this gem of a property. Situated directly overlooking Dunbar Harbour, with stunning views across the Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock, Isle of May and the Fife coast, the flat was spotlessly clean, well furnished & equipped to cater comfortably for a party of four. Whether you're a walker, cyclist,"Twitcher" or just looking for a traditional, family seaside break then this flat is in the perfect location. With a number of cycling and walking trails passing through Dunbar and with stunning, isolated beaches within easy reach this apartment can't be recommended highly enough. Edinburgh City centre and the bustle of all the usual City attractions is only 20 minutes away by train. But for peace, quiet and relaxation the rise & fall of the tide in the harbour is hard to beat. Kick of your shoes, relax and enjoy - we did.!!
