“Immaculate apartment on Lake Annecy”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2015

We had a great time in the apartment which was immaculate and quite spacious for the 5 of us. It was freezing outside but warm and cosy inside. The view is amazing too! And its right on the lake which is wonderful. All instructions was clear and there was great communication. Near enough to plenty of shops but a car was necessary although that is because it was winter. There is a car park over the road but underground access makes it safe. I am sure parking is a nightmare in the summer but it was empty in the winter.

“Lovely apartment in a great location”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2014

The apartment is bright and airy and well equipped, with stunning views over the lake and easy access to the water, which is amazingly warm. Relax on the balcony and watch the para-gliders loiter over the ridges and peaks opposite. Excellent starting point for spectacular walks, water sports, cycling, countryside (don't miss the Semnoz plateau and Angon waterfall) and Annecy itself. Not to mention the said para-gliding. Good accessibility with nearby secure car-park. Shopping good, though we found the range of nearby eateries a bit limited. Common areas in the building a little dowdy, but this is completely outweighed by the advantages. Warning: if you're driving from the French sector of Geneva airport make sure you know where you're going.

“Lovely apartment, with an outstanding view.”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2014

The apartment is lovely and is made even better by the amazing balcony and view which looks over Lake Annecy. We had a fantastic holiday and the location is brilliant especially with it's closeness to the cycle track which goes around the lake. We could not have asked for more in a holiday apartment.

“A lovely aparment fully up to all expectations”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2014

The apartment was lovely. We could happily live there all the time. The location directly overlooking the lake made it the ideal place not only to return to after a day out, but to spend some days relaxing on the balcony watching the world go by. We fully intend to return to Les Libellules.

“Mesmerised by the scenery”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2014

Location, location, location - clear blue lake and magical mountains. This spacious and fully fitted apartment has uninterrupted panoramic views from the balcony. Enjoy the swimming, boating, water skiing, or paragliding. Or simply sit back, relax and be mesmerised by the scenery. The owners were prompt, informative and friendly, providing peace of mind to first-time renters in this location. In addition, the housekeeper made us feel welcome and provided additional local information. This is a clean, smart, and functional apartment. It is close to all amenities and is very much part of the jewel in the crown - Lake Annecy.

“Absolutely superb apartment and location !”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2014

This is a lovely apartment right on the shores of Lake Annecy in the small, quaint French village of Duingt. The fourth floor apartment has wonderful views, is very well equipped and also comes with three adult bicycles. There is a 25 mile cycle track just behind the apartment which makes cycling a pleasure ! There are good lakeside restaurants within walking distance and a boating stage just along the road from where you can travel by boat to the town of Annecy or any other village around the lake. All in all this is a perfect holiday location and we would thoroughly recommend it. It possibly isn't for families with very young children.

“Excellent lake side apartment with direct private lake access and views”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2013

Very comfortable apartment with secure parking and private direct access to lake. Facing East , with wonderfull lake views the front balcony gets sunshine from 0900 to ~1200 noon Alternatively until ~ 1700 in private bathing area before setting behind the mountains. On the 4th floor the lake side balcony can get a little cool on windy afternoons, in the shade (option to sit behind sliding patio doors ) Both bedrooms were very comfortable but do as reported by others back onto main lakeside road which can be noisy at night if widow open ( double glazed doors provide good soundproofing ) Our view this is a small negative versus outstanding location. Access to lake is best from pontoon with step ladder or just jump ! Alternative concrete steps are extremely slippery so afraid will be difficult for elderly wanting a swim ! ( apartment with lift is fine) We were lucky to have a week of wonderful sunshine and lake was a nice temperature ~25C . This apartment is in a private residence with relatively few available to rent and during our holiday had respectful quiet neighbours . All arrangements / facilities were very practical from first booking /payment/ check in to departure and we aim to return !

“Nice apartment shame about the noise from the road.”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2013

The apartment inside is bright, open plan and modern with fantastic views of Annecy Lake. It is very clean with a dishwasher and washing machine ( they supply a cleaning pack ). There was no welcome pack, so if like us you cannot get to the shops straight away it means there is no drink on arrival ( I did mention this to the owners so hopefully this will change). The neighbours do not like any noise. There was a noisy apartment in the block having some fun on holiday who came in very late on our first night, the next day there was a note pinned on the wall outside our apartment door asking us to be quiet even though it was not us making any noise, we were in bed by 9.45pm. You can swim in the lake which the boys enjoyed. If your not a great swimmer like me the lake is difficult to get into so take some beach shoes. There are no sunbeds so take something to lie on. No outdoor towels supplied. If you walk 5 mins up to the bend (towards Annecy) there is a nice area to swim. Walk into the village and there is a lovely bar right on the lake and walk/cycle on the cycle track the other way for about a mile there are a couple of other restaurants. The cycle track is right outside and it took about 20mins to get to Annecy. We cycled around the whole lake, do not try and do this with young children as half of it is on the road. I mountain bike and cycle regularly on country roads in the UK and found it very difficult with the amount of fast traffic you have to negate. The only problem with Annecy lake and this apartment is the traffic, it is so noisy and very very busy. We had to shut the bedroom windows as the traffic goes on late into the night and starts very early in the morning. Luckily the view is was so wonderful it made up for the noisy road.
