The Province of Leinster region
Irish name Dubhlinn, meaning "black pool". Dublin is an old city but the Temple Bar area is full of the vibrancy of youth. . This hugely popular cultural, entertainment hub attracts lots of the city's newcomers and natives. It is famed for its fun pubs and great party atmosphere.
A walk through the cobbled thoroughfares will reveal a huge array of cafés and bars vintage and speciality shops, piercing and tattoo artists to second-hand music stores and it shows that even in such a well-known area, Dublin still has so many hidden gems to discover that most guidebooks just don't point you towards. Dublin is as much about the fun and laid-back daytime vibe as it is the well-established nightlife scene.
Similar to much of northwest Europe, Dublin experiences a maritime climate with mild winters, cool summers, and a lack of temperature extremes. The average maximum January temperature is 8.8 °C (48 °F), while the average maximum July temperature is 20.2 °C (68 °F). On average, the sunniest months are May and June, while the wettest month is October with 76 mm (3 in) of rain, and the driest month is February with 46 mm (2 in).
The local area has many attractions of significance including Dublin castle and grounds, Guinness store house where you can have a pint of Guinness in the sky bar overlooking Dublin city, Jameson distillery museum, St michans church and crypt where it is said Handel practised for the first performance of Messiah on the church organ, Christchurch cathedral home to the tomb of strongbow, National museum of Ireland, Phoenix park including newly renovated and extended Dublin Zoo, Kilmainham gaol, Trinity college where you can see the world famous book of Kells also hugh lane gallery are all close by but everywhere in Dublin city centre is accessible by foot. in addition to the attractions there are numerous theatres, clubs, pubs, music venues and restaurants.

"Amazing apartment for everyone"
I stayed in this apartment for a weekend in June and can honestly say it is the best property I have ever stayed in. Patricia the owner was so helpful and friendly, she has catered the apartment to everyone down to every last little detail. I definitely will go back and stay there again, all the group are recommending it to anyone going to Dublin as it is well position got all you need close by too. The shop around the corner was very useful too. You will not be disappointed if you were to stay here.

"Brilliant stay in luxurious apartment"
From the start of the booking Patricia was very helpful and this continued all the way until she waved us on our way back to the airport. The apartment is even better than the pictures and we loved our stay there. The apartment has everything (and more) than what you need and the welcome pack and apple tart left by Patricia was very much appreciated. Patricia even provided some toys for our 2 year old daughter who made the most of it. There is a number of restaurants in the area as well as a supermarket. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to visit Dublin - you will not be disappointed.

"Wonderful find in Dublin! Perfect location, luxury flat!"
We stayed here with our two children (13 and 17) four nights. What a great find. The flat is spotless and modern with every amenity we could possibly need from washer/dryer to 3D television and Playstation for the kids! The photos don't do the flat justice. There was lots of room for all of us, the rooftop deck has stunning views of Dublin and the location is one block from the River Liffey and a 15 minute walk from Temple Bar and Trinity College. There is a playground right outside as is the light rail and the Hop On/Hop Off bus. There is a great cafe in the lobby on the corner and a supermarket less than 100 yards away. Patricia and her husband were welcoming and tremendously accommodating - the Irish hospitality is evident as they greeted us warmly - they even had an apple pie waiting as we arrived. Can't think of a better place to stay in Dublin. It's a great craic!
Thank you for doing such a great review for us and future guests. We are so pleased you had a wonderful time and that you felt the Irish welcome. Great to see you took on some Irish slang too! Best Wishes Patricia

"Fantastic family friendly option in Dublin - I'd go back here and no where else!"
I am so glad I found Patricia through TripAdvisor! From initial contact to our final goodbye hugs she was always attentive and her lovely apartment was every bit the luxury promised! Everything was super clean, tidy and just perfect! I could rave on on and about this spot but I'll stick to the facts : 1) Patricia had everything covered for us, including a baby crib/cot, babyproofing the house with door stoppers, toys for the little one and had plenty of toilet paper stocked (we were 4 ladies and 2 guys.. so that helped!). She even had a cell phone and a welcome basket for us! Perfect hostess! Fluffy white towels, bathrobes and even slippers - who needs a hotel when you can have an apartment? 2) As mentioned for the 1st night we were 6 adults and a baby,Patricia gave us a blow up mattress but we were too tired and crashed on couches instead. That was perfect for us. Second night onwards we were 4 adults and a baby and the two bedrooms were sufficient. 3)Plenty of space for the entire family, including a lovely balcony overlooking Dublin - fab to catch the sunset at. 4) We walked everywhere! Very convenient location and there's a kids play area very close to the building 5) As with all Irish accomodations we stayed at, there is no A.C , we happened to have the hottest day ever and nearly boiled ourselves to sleep the very first night (then on weather cooled) but I mentioned this to Patricia and she has placed an additional fan in each room so you guys should be all set 6) It can be a bit loud on a Saturday night as there is a club downstairs but to be honest, we are city people and we drifted off to sleep quite easily. 7) All amenities we needed were there - fridge, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer combo and Patricia has a great detailed file outlining how to use everything. Very organized. We were in a bind as we arrived in Dublin, stayed at Dublin City Apartments and then were driving around Ireland before staying with Patricia, she graciously met us and stored our suitcases for us - I am super thankful for that as we would not have been able to travel with all our stuff otherwise! I highly recommend the Luxury Penthouse Duplex In Dublin for anyone looking for the added personal touch, extra space and baby friendly atmosphere!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this truely wonderful review. I am so glad you enjoyed Dublin and the apartment felt like home to you all. It is great to get some feedback and know that I have happy and comfortable guests. Thank you for such a great heading too Best wishes Patricia
