Located on the outskirts of the Stirlingshire village of Balfron, Edenwood Cottage is the perfect base for your holiday. With stunning views across to the Campsie Fells you will fall in love with this little haven. Balfron is just 20 minutes from the village of Balmaha on the shores of Loch Lomond where you can spend the day on the beautiful beaches, or maybe you would prefer exploring the nearby Trossachs, homeland of the notorious Rob Roy MacGregor. The historical city of Stirling with its majestic castle is just 20 miles away, as is the bustling city of Glasgow. Furnished and equipped to a high standard this self-catering cottage sleeps four people accommodated in a double and a twin room - we can also supply a cot and highchair on request. The living room has a wood burning stove and comfy sofas, so even if the weather is not so good you can still enjoy the amazing scenery. There is a well equipped kitchen for those that enjoy cooking, dining room with additional TV, and a small utility room with washer/drier.The shower room has a large walk-in shower - there is no bath at this property. The south facing garden is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views, along with the many wild visitors - deer, pheasants and hares are frequently to be found in the garden.

Getting around

Whilst you can walk to the village of Balfron in around 20 minutes a car really is essential for exploring all the local area has to offer. The nearest bus stop is in the village.

Interaction with guest

I like to meet guests on arrival but if I'm unable to do so then I catch up as soon as possible to introduce myself and make sure that everything is okay. Our own cottage is just 5 minutes away so there is always someone on hand to deal with any queries during your stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kim (the owner) a message.

If Kim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
