From the owner

A lovely converted 18th century barn overlooking beautiful orchards and open countryside, nestling at the end of a quiet lane. This deceptively spacious oak-beamed cottage is my home when I live in France. It has a relaxed lounge/dining area, with an open fire and doors opening onto the large terrace. There is comfortable seating for five and dining for 6 people. 3 bedrooms, two of which are doubles and one single.

There is also a sofabed and a cot. The large ground floor bedroom has a kingsize bed, en-suite shower room and a door opening onto the garden. The first floor bedrooms, again both beamed, has one double bed and the third bedroom has a single bed and a cot. The sun terrace overlooks the large front garden and is ideal for those leisurely breakfasts or al fresco dining and a barbecue is available for use.

The large front garden is dotted with fig and walnut trees and plenty of shrubs and is ideal for sun-bathing, while the rear garden catches the evening sun where you can enjoy pre and after dinner drinks.

Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday, arrivals after 4 p.m. and departures before 11 a.m. On occasions, alternative days can be arranged.

Guests are requested to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition ready for the next guests. A cleaning service is available, if required, at a cost of 70 Euros which would be payable locally to our agent.. Please advise when booking if you require this service.

25% deposit with booking.

Remainder to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Breakage deposit £150 (200 euros) to be paid on arrival at the cottage to our agent (returnable on departure).

The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, with a trolley and barbecue for those outdoor meals.
There is a large open fireplace together with storage heaters for the colder evenings. There is plenty of room to relax and listen to music. Bring your ipod as there is also a base player.
The large mezzanine landing is ideal for accommodating the sofabed.. The large ground floor shower room and toilet also encompasses the washing machine and clothes airer.

The cottage enjoys a large garden of approximately 2 acres, mostly cut as lawn, with plenty of trees and shrubs. The garden is shared with the neighbouring cottage. The terrrace is raised up above the garden area and looks over open countryside. There is a private drive with plenty of parking. The attached garage houses garden chairs and sun loungers. Wood is also available for the log fire if required,

Towels are replaced at the start of each season. The cottage is an old rustic cottage and the furnishings are appropriate. The kitchen is due to be refurbished at the end of this season. Cupboard doors are cleaned after every visit. All shutters should be closed when leaving the property, this is a security point in order to comply with insurance. It states in the description that the cottage is one of two properties, but they are not attached to each other therefore not a semi. The gardens are not shared.

How do damage deposits work?
