"A warm welcome in the Highlands"
Tigh Tasgaidh is a beautiful house in a stunning location, it makes a perfect base for exploring the local area and the Isle of Skye is merely a 15 min drive away. The house has all the amenities you would need and is a joy to return to after a long day out.The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen is very spacious, the jewel in the crown is the lovely lounge which is a perfect place to relax and affords lovely views of the mountains. Louise is a lovely hostess who cannot do enough for you, she was on hand to offer advice about the local area and trips out and she obviously takes the comfort and well being of her guests very seriously. A wonderful house and hostess, cannot recommend it enough.

"Fantastic apartment and location, given a warm welcome!"
We had an excellent week here. the accommodation was spacious, well equipped and spotless. The gardens are splendid, we especially enjoyed sitting out in the front garden, enjoying the view and the warm sunshine (amazing!) We were given a warm welcome by Louise who was attentive to our needs, including home baked scones and fresh eggs! There is loads to see and do and this part of the world is quite stunning.

"Very pleasant week in a very nice place ."
The place is great and Louise is a very nice person. She helped us to find the best things to do in order to discover the magnificent Isle of skye. We can just thank her for everything.

"This was a terrific holiday rental!"
We stayed for 4 days. We wanted an outdoor vacation with lots of hiking. Louise, our host, knew all the best trails, having hiked them herself. We arrived to freshly baked scones and bread and a bottle of wine! Louise gave us detailed advice for where to hike, drive and eat. We had a great time.

"Restful, comfortable, well and beautifully equipped, mesmerising view"
The home baked bread, shortbread and tea cake, as well as the milk, juice, eggs and other basics welcoming us was only the start. Louise, the host was knowledgeable and helpful about the area, what to do and see, when to avoid and when to go. Available when you wanted her, ready for a chat, but not intrusive. The friendly dogs were a bonus for us, but Louise was careful to find out what we thought of dogs, and would regulate them accordingly. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of good quality crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Louise provided some freshly picked veg from her organic garden for dinner one night, but the local pubs and restaurants have good food. The local store is very well stocked for a small town. The bed and bathroom were comfortable, the house is warm and the sitting room has a magic view across the narrow loch to a picturesque cottage and rising hills. Everything was clean and fresh. we wanted to extend our stay, but it was already booked.

"A great place to stay"
Property had everything we needed, and very relaxing and comfortable. Location of house provides great views. Parking easy, Owner adjacent and very helpful if needed. Great location for wide area including Skye. Eating out in village limited but within reasonable driving distance of nice restaurants. Castle good for breakfasts and cakes and coffee. Local shop a few houses away. We are now devoted regulars.

"Visit Skye & Wester Ross"
Travelling Scotland from the Borders to the Highlands until I retired I can confidently say that I never found accommodation to match the superb Guest House, Tigh Tasgaidh, in Dornie Ross Shire. This beautifully appointed Guest House, with a warm friendly atmosphere, gives you the choice of a luxurious flat, or excellent bed and breakfast accommodation, in a beautifully furnished home. Tigh Tasgaidh overlooks Loch Long to Skye, is ten minutes walk from Eilian Donan Castle, and is an ideal location for touring and experiencing the beauty of Wester Ross and Skye. The varied and extensive excellent breakfast menu of high quality local produce equips you well for each day’s enjoyment in this beautiful area.
Thank you Davy- I have gone quite blushing after your kind remarks!!!! Now I must keep it up to these high standards with Collies to advise me. Love and best wishes, Louise

We have travelled to Scotland on many occasions and find this area fantastic. Even when it rains (it sometime does) the area is beautiful. The location is very accessible with good restaurants and super markets close by.
