Location description from owner

The Dorset region

The Manor House is well situated in the South West, with great transport links in to London and easy access to Cornwall & Devon.

Dorset has many interesting places to visit, from the magical Cerne Giant to the world famous Jurassic Coast, where you can surf, fossil hunt and take some amazing walks.

The nearest town is Dorchester which has good shops and a weekly market selling fresh local produce. There are two new developments, Prince Charles' Poundbury which is home to some lovely independent and artisan shops and Brewery Square which has a wealth of places to eat from Pizza to Carluccio's Italian, there is also a Odeon cinema.

Moreton is a picturesque Dorset village, with an award winning Tea Rooms only a short walk from the Manor. There is also our beautiful church with it's Whistler engraved windows and a lovely ford and bridge across the river Frome which is a great spot for a picnic and a paddle!

Lulworth is a five minute drive away with it's castle and beautiful beaches, every year the castle is home to Camp Bestival a brilliant family music festival.

Other local activities include kayaking, cycling, fishing and even a horse ride along Studland beach can be arranged.
