Description from owner

Description

2 Shore Street is situated in the heart of the historic town of Donaghadee in County Down which is approximately 20 miles from Belfast and 6 miles from Bangor. Donaghadee has something to offer all ages of visitors from golf at Donaghadee Gold Club (and many surrounding clubs including Carnalea, Holywood, Kirkistown Castle, Mahee Island), sailing at Donaghadee Sailing Club and Ballyholme, horse riding nearby, hiking, beaches, coastal walks, nearby National Trust properties, tennis, as well as many restaurants in the town itself and in neighbouring Bangor.

The cottage at Shore Street is a character property which has been sympathetically modernised. It has an open plane, kitchen and lounge with dining area, double bedroom and bunk bed room on the first floor and twin room on the second floor. The property has a wood burning stove in the kitchen area as well as a modern electric fire in the lounge area. There are sea views over to the harbour and Copeland Islands from most rooms.

“Perfect for our swim!”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2016

I cannot recommend this house highly enough. It is on the seafront, walking distance to anything we needed and was a home away from home. Thanks to Jill who made our stay so comfortable. I dont remember the last time I slept so well with the gentle sounds of the sea as background. I will certainly be going back.
