An old fashioned farming region peppered with small dairy farms and pear and apple orchards making Calvados. Rolling countryside with historic medievil villages, castles and abbeys, fine walking and cycling countryside.
Le Chatalier has a traditional dairy farm as its immediate neihbour so cows being taken to milking and an evening collection of milk are the main activities. The garden is secluded with a sunny patio with furniture and barbeque.

The gites was fantastic, the location wasn't ideal but purely because I was pregnant and so couldn't take advantage of the bikes and beautiful scenery. We felt we did have to do a lot of driving though.

"Lovely Quiet Break"
We had a week cycling and walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Le Chatalier proved a very convenient base. On a very quiet road but only a short journey to Domfront for Shopping, restaurants etc. Le Chat, as the owners like to call it is very well presented and very well equipped. In a nutshell - It "did exactly what it said on the tin" (or the advert details to be precise). Everything was fine. Comfortable and yet cosy. We wiil return, I am sure.
