Le Tertre Gites 'Rouge' is one of three gites in a recent barn conversion set in unspoilt open countryside in this beautiful rural location. Providing modern, comfortable accommodation with all modern facilities, Le Tertre Gites 'Rouge' is located on the border of Normandy and the Loire and is perfect for exploring both regions.

This gite accommodates two adults and there is also a cot available for an infant to share the large open-plan double bedroom if required. Bed linen and towels are provided. The bathroom features a recently fitted suite including bath with hand-held shower attachment.

The lounge provides an HD television with UK 'Freesat' channels (French TNT tv is also available), free wireless internet access, and comfortable seating with a woodburner and electric radiator. The open plan ground floor also provides a dining area and modern kitchen with washing machine, oven and hob.

Outside there is an enclosed garden behind the gite which has beautiful views across the local countryside. Sun loungers and outside table and chairs are provided.

Free off-road parking on hard standing is provided.

All electricity and hot water is included in the price. Logs for the woodburner by arrangement. A complimentary welcome pack of groceries is provided which includes eggs as available from our own chickens or ducks and other basic groceries.

Pets welcome by arrangement.

We live on site in a seperate house, and are available to visitors for general day to day assistance and queries. We provide a comprehensive handbook in the gite which describes local attractions (walks, chateaux, things to do), how to operate the equipment, local facilities (doctors/hospitals/supermarkets etc) and more. We are very happy to chat to our guests or to leave you to enjoy your holiday!

Stayed for a week but could have stayed longer. Beautiful location and so peaceful. Well appointed kitchen and lovely bathroom. Your own private garden too. Lola the cat also likes to visit you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
