The North Wales region

Situated on the cusp of Snowdonia National Park, just 20 minutes from the beautiful Blue Flag beaches of Cardigan Bay, our hand-picked 4* and 5* holiday cottages in and around Dolgellau are the perfect base from which to explore Wales. Located at the foot the mountain Cader Idris, you'll find three routes to the summit of this breath-taking peak - one from Dolgellau itself.

The locations of our cottages ensure you make the most of this thriving North Wales community, but also allow you the distance and peace and quiet to truly escape into the countryside.

We've specifically selected our cottages in the Dolgellau area to bring you the very best of Wales. From these cottages you'll be able to reach stunning Cardigan Bay beaches, the incredible mountains of Snowdonia, crystalline Bala Lake, the thrilling, internationally renowned National White Water Centre and Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre. The area also features the spectacular Mawddach Estuary, Harlech Castle, stone circles, hill forts, spectacular narrow gauge railways and much, much more!

There is also a range of other shops including a couple of bakers, butcher, several café's, hardware, clothing, hairdressers, 2 supermarkets a Post Office and a Tourist Information Centre.

Amongst the best places to eat in the area is Y Meirionnydd, just a 2 minute walk from the cottage. This contemporary restaurant specialises in delicious menus using local produce. Other recommended restaurants in town include Y Sospan (traditional menu with a good choice to suit most palates) and Dylanwad Da, a popular Bistro with a regularly changing menu and a wide selection of wines. Just 2 miles outside the town you also have Bwyty Mawddach with amazing views of Cader Idris and the Mawddach Estuary.
