The Rhône-Alpes region

The Drôme Valley is right in between Lyon and Avignon, in the South;East of France. The climate is almost Mediterranean, with 2400 hours of sunlight/year and, usually, very dry summers. As always in the South of France, you can expect some windy days, itis part of the landscape in the region! The Drôme River flows through the valley and is very clean, allowing plenty of kayaking and bathing in the summer. Our property is located in the countryside and the pace of life is peaceful and tranquil, all geared towards enjoyable vacations on site, simply relaxing in the park. Within less than 30 minutes, in the Forêt de Saoû, the Pre-Alpes or the Vercors, one can find magnificent hikes in open nature. The area is also well suited for lovers of old villages, Provencal landscapes and local markets where sympathetic farmers sell their products, fruits, vegetables, olive oil, truffles, goat cheese..., with a chanting accent. For the sports oriented, biking, running, climbing, golf, horseback riding, adventure rides, are available year-round in the area and it's easy to rent bicycles if you haven't brought yours.

Divajeu

The small town of Crest is only 3 kilometers from the Domaine de Vincenti. You will find there everything you need during your stay: 4 supermarkets, gas stations, bakeries, cafés, bookstores, pharmacies..., and a lively Saturday morning open market...

Visit the Medieval tower of Crest, and the region's many old villages, often perched on hilltops: charming little towns with artists, small shops, bistros and unassuming restaurants. A bit further out, at about 1 hour and 15 minutes, the "old town" of Lyon and the Pope's Palace of Avignon, both offer world-heritages sightseeing, together with the joyful opportunities of these bursting cities. Year-round, look for and choose from the numerous cultural events offered in the region. In the summer, you can even have a day at the exceptional Festival of Avignon.

Within 40 minutes, visit also some of the famous wine makers of the Rhône Valley, at Tain l' Hermitage (Crozes Hermitage) and the surroundings vineyards (Cornas, Saint Joseph…). Stop in the many wineries, on the road towards Die, about 30 minutes from Vincenti, and taste the famous Clairette, a delightfully light sparkling white wine and about an hour to the South, discover the gentle hills of the Nyonsais, with its many lavender fields and its great variety of red wines, produced there since the Romans. If you need to celebrate a special event and love gastronomy, the famous Restaurant Pic in Valence, at 30 minutes, has been awarded 3 stars on the Michelin Guide.

“Fantastic location and accomodation”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2013

We travelled with 7 friends to Domaine de Vincenti in the summer. We were all impressed with the accomodations and the domain itself. The house where we stayed was in perfect order and had all modern equipment. Only the internet was a bit tricky since it sometimes disappeared. Outside we had had a fantastic gas BBQ (very high end) and enjoyed many evenings. The pools was very big. Although we had to share the pool with the other guests, this was not a problem because of its size. There were many families at the time with children and grand children and I do believe that the domain is perfectly fit for families with friends. The surroundings were also very nice and there are lots of things to visit and do.

We are very grateful for your encouraging comments. Since you visited us we actually upgraded our WIFI connection and it should now work better.
