“wonderful retreat, beautiful area with everything you need supplied in the cottage for a stress free holiday.”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

We stayed at the cottage for a week in October and it was lovely. When I walked in the front door i was so relived to find that it was just as the advert said and so clean and fresh everywhere. The beds were comfy, hot water all the time and everything you needed in the kitchen from a teaspoon to dishwasher tablets. A bottle of wine and a couple of beers to welcome you can't be bad either! (thank you). Lots to do in the surrounding area and kite flying on the beach is a must for kids and adults alike. the games room was good fun too. It was a surprise week for my husbands 50th and we can't wait to come back again, maybe bring the family and book the bungalow next door as well. highly recomeded.

“Amazing views, warm, family home”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2012

What a great house! We travelled as 2 children, Mum, Dad, grandparents and dog, oh and a boat. The house is very roomy, with games, books and a games room to keep everyone happy. The views are amazing, windows at all sides, mountains, the sea and my sons loved watching the helicopters coming in and out of the airport. Sitting on the balcony in the early autumn sun was relaxing and interesting watching the cows walk past the end of the garden. On a cold day the house is very comfy and warm with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Take binoculars as the birdlife is vast. There are great walks from the house and the beach is long and very relaxing, dog loved the vast space. We had a lovely week and will return. We arrived to wine, beer and soft drinks which was very hospitable and made you feel like you were being welcomed by friends.

“A little bit of Heaven on Earth!”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2012

We first discovered this house in April this year and loved it so much that we just couldn't wait to go back. If you want an amazing house with views from every window to die for, then all we can say is book now, you won't be disappointed. The house is upside down (the bedrooms are downstairs and lounge upstairs) and when you get there you will understand why, it would be a crime to have it any other way, yet you still get amazing views of the mountains from each bedroom window. The location is peaceful and tranquil, yet not too far from all the major attractions and it's only a 25minute drive to the base of Snowden (which we climbed for the second time this year). If you have a dog, it will have the time of it's life on the very long sandy beaches, just up the lane from the house. Our dog was so excited when we arrived for the second time, he knew just what was in store, he also started sulking when we packed the cases into the car to come home, tail well between his legs! Steph and Lyndon have thought about just about everything to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. we had the welcome drinks on the balcony, spent time in the games room (which is brilliant) and enjoyed eating out in the garden whenever weather permitted. We stocked up with food from Morrisons and Tesco about 6 miles away (near Caernarvon), I was also told that they would do home delivery to the house. As on our first visit, time went too quickly, but we all agree that it's the best place in the U.K. we have ever been and are already planning our next visit. Prior to find Cefn Coed House, we never stayed in the same place twice! - That says it all for us.

“Beach was super for the dogs”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2012

Had a great time and it was nice to walk to the beach with the dogs. The property was nice and warm and comfortable, we all loved the views. The en-suite toilet was slow to fill and there was a shortage of choice with glass wear, insufficient for six people.

“House with great facilities and superb views”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2012

We had a very enjoyable holiday with our son and his wife and their two very young children in this comfortable and well equipped house. It appears to be in an isolated position but all attractions and nearby towns and villages are easily reached by road and the beach is a mere stroll away. The views from the house to the sea in one direction, the little airport in another and the mountains from the other two sides are great. The house is an ideal setting for a relaxing holiday and has all the comforts and facilities which could be required. We didn't experience the best of weather, but suspect that most people would not come to this part of Wales expecting that. Our ages ranged from just 1 year to 70 and we found plenty to do for both young and old and will certainly hope to come again.

“Home from home- wonderful property”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2012

The cleanliness of the house and garden was first class. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome drinks were a lovely thought. The games room was great and we all enjoyed the time we were in there. The location was lovely and we came back feeling rejuvinated after a lovely restful week. The owners were most helpful and professional from start to finish even giving a courtesy call on our return-we have rented many places in the past but this one exceeded them all. We will definately return and have no hesitation in recommending this property.

“Enjoyable holiday”

Reviewed 11 May 2012

Had an enjoyable week at this property, the lounge was big and airy and as there were five adults in our party we wasn't on top of each other. The views were fantastic, and the beach was lovely especially when the tide was out. The property was located centrally for visiting various places, not to far to travel. The games room was great too. The cistern in the en suite was very slow at filling up, I informed the owners and they have made a note to get it seen to.

“BOOK IT NOW...”

Reviewed 9 May 2012

The house is a strange layout and we agree with other guest that door directly onto garden is a nuisance... however this is a minor issue in comparison to the open plan living area with the views... we spend more time in the living area when it's raining so the views and the layout to make the most of the views is superb. The house is clean, clearly well looked after and has everything you could possibly need for a week or two at any time of the year. The beach is amazing (watch the tide s times though it comes in fast). Would definately stay here again... in fact was a little late and had to settle for the bungalow next door this year (2012) however if the standard of the house is anything to go by we'll have another fantastic week.

“excellent value and facilities”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2012

All the facilities anybody would need for a holiday. Superb views and location. The owners were very helpful, providing a stairgate, cot and high chair for our baby. We made use of all the appliances provided. Very private and quiet location, even though the airport is only a short distance away. Just light aircraft and helicopters flying during the day. Superb beach only a short walk away.

“Upside down house giving fantastic views in beautiful location”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2012

Overall the house is well equipped, warm, clean and comfortable, although matresses are not of good quality and therefore not most comfortable we have slept on. The location and views are excellent and the garden feels like it is part of the surounding countryside with lambs coming right up to the fence which the children loved. However we would not have booked this accommodation had we realised the layout. The description of this house does not make it clear that it has all bedroom accomodation on ground floor with lounge and kitchen on 1st floor. This did not work for us as we had a 3 year old and dogs with us and once one person (or dog) was up, everyone was up! We also found the lack of door directly into the enclosed garden a problem.
