“Wonderful Dinan”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2016

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the gite. Rachel and Chris were lovely hosts. The gite was perfect for us, spacious, clean with the all important WiFi and English TV! We loved the location in the countryside but close enough to amenities. We have fallen in love with DInan. It is a truly beautiful town with shops to die for and lovely cafes. We will be back.

Thank you for your review, Nicolas. See you maybe next year?! ;o)

“Home from Home in Evran”

Reviewed 27 Nov 2013

Just returned from a long weekend and already booked for Summer 2013. From the moment you arrive you are welcome by the owners Chris (British) and Rachel (French) so anything you need to know you just have to knock at the door as they live in the cottage next to the Gite. They gave us advise on what to do to make the most of the short time we had. So much to do and see and the location of the Gite is just perfect place to explore Dinard, Dinan, St Malo, Rennes, Cancale to name a few places. The accommodation is exactly what you see in the pictures. Can not wait to return. A big thank you to Chris and Rachel for such memorable weekend.

“Beautiful accommodation in an ideal location”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2013

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the owners who make you feel at home right away. The accommodation is spotless and has excellent facilities. The location was ideal as it gives you easy access to the beautiful countryside and the spectacular coastline. The surrounding areas have everything you could possibly want and the nearby medieval town of Dinan is full of bars and beautiful ancestry and is a must. There are so many beautiful towns, coastal resorts and points of interest you can visit something different every day, or just chill out in the well kept garden with a glass of wine. We are already looking forward to this year.

“What a fantastic Gite”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2013

Rachel and Chris are the nicest people you could ever meet.Nothing seems to be to much trouble.Rachel even made time to baked us a lovely clafoutis (French cherry pie). The Gite is beautiful, and is finished to a high standard.I would have no problem recommened this gite to anyone. The gite is located just outside Evran In the countryside and is lovely and quiet. There is a nice garden for younger children, and WI-FI for the teenagers. All in all a beautiful gite for a relaxing break.

“Excellent family home from home in the countryside near Dinan”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2012

Well equipped, spacious holiday cottage, suitable for family group or friends. It is particularly well equipped for babies and young children. The garden is lovely and we made the most of it when the sun shone-again really good for children as it is enclosed, safe and well equipped. The owners are next door, friendly, flexible and available when advice or help is needed. There is plenty to visit within easy travelling distances.

“Lovely gite in a fabulous location”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2012

We had stayed in this gite 3 years earlier and it was everything we remembered and more when we returned this summer. The house has everything you might need and is very comfortable, and the garden is stunning. Location is good too - easy to get to by ferry and there is a lot within a short drive : St Malo, Dinan, Mont St Michel, Beaches, Zoo, Velo-Rail .....

“Superb, Brilliant, fanatastic. Will definitely be back!”

On arrival at La Villa Fleurie the first thing that grabs your attention is the beautiful garden. It is both spacious and well maintained with several different places to enjoy either gregarious outdoor living or wile away a tranquil afternoon in blissful peace and quiet ("the bus stop" is a personal favourite nook for nice quiet read) or a nice relaxing sunbathe in beautiful surroundings. The Gite itself is very much a home away from home, with a generous modern kitchen, although the garden allows for a perfect setting for al fresco dining, be it fresh bread and Couissants for breakfast or an evening BBQ (BBQ Toulouse Sausage mmmmmmmmm!!); living room/dining room (the old oak dining table, chairs and matching sideboard are absolutely exquisite) and three spacious bedrooms. Having upstairs and downstairs shower/ bathroom facilities helped to ensure that there wasn't a fight over morning ablutions at the start of the day. The Gite has been finished to a beautiful standard which is a big plus for getting into the holiday mood, very much more a Villa than your typical Gite. Situated within easy travelling distance, Northern Brittany is on your doorstep to explore, whether it be the medieval towns of Dinan or St Malo or the beaches of St Cast de le Guido or the majesty of Mont St Michel there is something for everyone. Last but by no means least are the wonderful hosts Rachel and Chris, as friendly and charming a couple as you'd ever wish to meet. As a family we had a wonderful holiday to remember and are already looking forward to our next visit (already booked again for October with friends). The Welsh Family

“A wonderful garden for children and grown ups and bright and airy property”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2012

We would recommend this property, it was ideal for a family with young children (both under 5). Rachel and Chris are very welcoming and they have ensured the property is equiped with everything you could need from cooking equipment to games for all the family and plenty of local information. The local beach and lake was also great. We loved Brittany. Be aware that the property is a mile or so out of the village of Evran and so you need a car at all times to get around. The walk to the lake is too far for young children and along a busy road, so best to drive to it.

“Fantastic stay, can't wait to go back.”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2012

We had not stayed in a French gite before, prefering a hotel/beach type holiday. I can safely say that hotels are now a thing of the past. On arrival Chris and Rachel, the owners, made us feel really welcome and showed us around the spacious, clean and comfortable gite. Once we settled in they provided us with all the information we required to make our stay enjoyable. The gite is ideally located, well away from the busy city but close enough to the fantastic coastal beaches and historic Dinan. Chris and Rachel were always on hand to pass on their extensive local knowledge and point us in the right direction. There is plenty to do for everybody, bike rides and walks are on the doorstep and other attractions are only a short drive away. If you are really lucky you may even be treated to some of Rachels cakes and puddings!! We had a great time and will be going back soon.
