There is a pretty bedroom which leads off the lounge which has a 5' double bed. There is sofabed in the lounge to allow for more versatile accommodation for travelling companions. Outside is an ornamental pond, garden furniture, a paddock, and a swing! There is a river side walk, a wild flower meadow and an orchard, all of which you are welcome to enjoy. Due to the river running along the boundary of the gardens, young children should be supervised. The river can be fast flowing and the pond is unprotected.Dogs are very welcome and are encouraged to use the gardens with their owners, but it is not fenced and secure. The Snug is close to the coast to coast cycle path which passes nearby and close to Devoran (good food pub, bus stops, creek, quay and excellent bird watching) with bicycles to hire near by.We also have THE HOME BARN ref (1314425) and THE GRANARY ref (278025) at HIGHER GRENNA FARM available, also for couples and many more details, pictures, location maps, the weekly prices and the up to date availability of all of them can be seen on our website ... cornishbarnholidays"CORNISH BARN HOLIDAYS" are also on TRIP ADVISOR, SEE ALL REVIEWS OF OUR PROPERTIES and the lovely accommodation that we provide.PLEASE NOTE that when booking through Holiday Lettings, you will be subject to extra booking fees, which can be up to 15% on top of our prices, they get this fee not us. Location description from owner

The England region

The West Country / Cornwall Cornwall's 'Med': here is Cornwall at its warmest, most sheltered; of creeks and tidal waters penetrating deep inland, deep in woods, silent except for birdsong; wonderful gardens growing things that live nowhere else outdoors in England marvellous in rhododendron, camellia, magnolia time, from March to end of May especially; sailing boats everywhere decorating the sea; harbour villages where the light is Mediterranean - dazzling in the sunshine. Close to Truro, Cornwall's (small) capital city, with its 20th century cathedral; Falmouth, resort town and cargo/cruise ship/yacht port, superbly sited; and the glorious Helford River. Trewithen, Trelissick, Glendurgan, Trebah, Heligan and Caerhays Castle are among the finest gardens. In the very middle of Cornwall, Lanhydrock house is very special, so is its garden. Close by is St Mawes, with its very own castle, right opposite Falmouth very own castle ! Not to be missed is St Just-in-Roseland's churchyard; and of course the The Eden Project.

Devoran

Perranwell: village post office and shop, excellent food pub in country lanes between Falmouth and Truro, 5 miles from each, with the coast-to-coast cycle path nearby. Branch line railway (to Truro and Falmouth). Sailing and good golf nearby. Sandy beaches, 5 miles; Trelissick Gardens and King Harry Ferry to the Roseland Peninsula, 3 miles.

“Ideal for a Peaceful Holiday.”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2014

Peaceful cottage in lovely wooded grounds, ideal for dog owners. The property was fully equipped and John, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Plenty of local walks and in a central location mid way between Truro and Falmouth. Hoping to return.

“Lovely comfortable cottage.”

Lovely comfortable cottage with character. Light high-ceiling lounge. Garden, walks, farmhouse and lane surroundings. Good base for exploring Cornwall.

“Just amazing and gorgeous!”

I week was not enough. We want to come back for a month. Fantastic host, beautiful location and everything you could want in very attractive accommodation. Lovely touches like fresh flowers and a cream tea on arrival. We wanted for nothing.

“can't recommend this cottage highly enough”

Reviewed 16 Oct 2013

Such a brilliant spacious cottage and a great location. Perfectly furnished and really cosy. I would live there tomorrow if I could. Ideal location for sightseeing around Cornwall halfway between Padstow and Truro. Two friendly little pubs within a 15 minutes walk. Loved being able to get up in the morning and walk my dog down by the river. Owners were really helpful without being intrusive. If you are thinking of booking here. Do it !!!

“Simply Perfect”

Reviewed 19 May 2013

I stayed here 14 days and it was a perfect holiday. The house and surroundings exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful place to relax. Communication with the owners was excellent too. If you enjoy the silence this is the place. Highly recommended for couples with a dog :)
