Pelican Beach Resort

This resort is located in the Heart of Destin across from the Big Kahuna Water/Theme Park. It is a gated resort with covered parking, two tennis courts, a game room, a restaurant/deli that serves fresh Columbian Coffee and muffins in the morning. At other times, it serves pizza, sandwiches, soft drinks beer and wine. There is a small convenience store as well. There is also a Tiki bar overlooking the beach, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, a baby pool, a large outdoor pool with a waterfall on the east side of the building and a brand new Gulf front pool with zero entry access, fountains and more. There are two hot tubs, one in a a gazebo overlooking the east side pool and Gulf front deck and the other over-sized hot tup is adjacent to the new Gulf front pool. There are several outdoor barbecue grills situated between the eastside pool and the indoor/outdoor pool. In addition there is a workout facility with steam room and sauna. All of these amenities are included at no charge.

Please Note: The Pelican Beach Resort building will be going through a project this upcoming fall and winter that will include some repairs, weatherproofing and the entire building will be re-painted. Work will be performed Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The outdoor pool and hot tub on the east side of the property will be tentatively closed from October 21st to December 27th and the Gulf side pool and hot tub will be tentatively closed from December 28 to March 3. The resort will have at least one heated pool and hot tub open at all times. Please note: With this project, there will be some noise, dust and dirt in the areas in progress.

Unit 2015, Penthouse Floor

Pelican Beach Resort has it all and this beautiful unit will make your stay truly enjoyable. Both the living room and the master bedroom have sliding glass doors with full access to the balcony. This top floor unit has incredible Gulf views from the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. The guest bedroom has a view of the adjacent lake and Destin harbor.

This unit is equipped with wireless Internet access. The Living room has a 50" Smart TV, a DVD and a sound bar. It is also stocked with books and movies that will provide entertainment for the entire family. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a new Sterns and Foster mattress (purchased in April 2021). It has a 43" Smart TV with a built in Roku. The guest bedroom has a bunk system with a queen size bed on the bottom, a twin on the top and a second twin in a trundle under the queen. It has a 32" TV and a DVD. The living room has a comfy sofa, two big comfy swivel chairs. The dining room table seats six and there are three bar stools for extra seating.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and every small appliance you would need, blender, coffee maker, electric knife, toaster and mixer. All linens are provided as well.

This condo has an updated kitchen with granite counter tops, upgraded cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The master and guest baths have upgraded cabinets with quartz counters and both bedrooms have plank tile flooring.

What Destin Offers

There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby. We love to visit the harbor area. Other popular spots are the Donut Hole for breakfast, the Back Porch with beach views for lunch or dinner and, of course, since we are from New Orleans, Louisiana Lagniappe. Dewey Destins and Beauchamps are located on the habor as well and are fun places to hang out.

Destin Commons outdoor shopping mall is a short distance away. It has a huge movie theatre complex, Hard Rock Cafe, Bass Pro Fishing shop, Johnnie Rockets, and all the mall shops you have come to know and love in a beautiful outdoor setting. The Silver Sands factory outlet mall is only seven miles east.

If it's deep sea fishing you like, you'll find many captains and shipping vessels for hire at the Destin Harbor, only three miles to the west of Pelican. Or, you might just like to walk along the docks and view the day's catch. Also, Fort Walton Beach, just a few miles to the west, has a new pier, where the fishing is reported to be wonderful.

The Emerald Coast was recently picked as the #1 Beach in America by USA Today readers and selected for the 8th year in a row as the Best Beach in the South and Top Family Destination by Southern Living readers! Coastal Living reported the Destin Harbor to be one of the top harbors in the US.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for all of your positive comments. We do try to keep all of our condos updated. At Pelican , in the past year we reconfigured the guest bedroom closet to add the barn door (really cute) and a much larger and more accessible TV. I believe our guest bedroom is probably one of the most functional at Pelican. We also put in a brand new king size mattress and a 42" Smart TV in the master. In 2016/2017 we took on the task of replacing the stipple ceiling with a smooth ceiling. What a task that was but I like it so much better. We also put in new plank tile in both bedrooms and remodeled both bath rooms. A few years ago, we totally remodeled the kitchen with granite, all new soft close cabinets and stainless appliances. And although we do have black out drapes in both the living room and the master, one of our next projects will be to replace them. Thank you for nudging me along. :)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
