“We had a very comfortable and happy stay at Villa La Tortora.”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2016

I was a touch nonplussed by the fact that there was no oven in the kitchen, but managed fine. Paolo was so very kind. in both collecting us from the station and returning us there at the end of our stay. There was a bottle of local wine in the fridge and most food staples were provided. The local supermarket is a short walk away and there is a smashing wee local bar across the street.

“Beautiful apartment with rustic charm in a great location by Lake Garda”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2014

We were met by Paolo at the train station and escorted to the property, which is set back from a quiet residential road and enclosed in a quaint little garden that provides a nice level of privacy. The apartment was much bigger than the pictures detail and it had a rustic charm about it. The property is in a wonderful location with easy access to the lake, buses, boats, and just around the corner is a lovely bakery for fresh morning pastries. A couple of minor aspects could be improved, for example, bikes are included in the rental however when we came to use them the tires were flat and the tire walls were cracked. They could just use some regular tlc. One other thing, while it's wonderful that towels are included, they were just a little on the small side. Neither of those aspects really impinged on what was a wonderful honeymoon stay. Paolo was a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. He provided excellent information on the local area, and he even escorted us back to the train station.
