It's a great place to introduce kids to the sport as quite a few villages have their own private ponds stocked with trout, and they have picnic benches and wide banks and only charge around 5 euros for a days fishing !
The area surrounding St Connec has many pretty villages with superb restaurants and churches, and along with the Napoleonic Castle at Pontivy, Bon Repos Abbey, La Forge des Salles, all go towards making this a great area of architectural study.
