The Riverside Chapel is a tranquil haven, set right on the river, where you can truly relax & get away from it all. It is in an ideal central location from which to explore Northumberland's many tourist attractions. With 2 great local pubs, & historic Hexham & Corbridge with their shops, cafes & restaurants only 4 miles away, you couldn't be better situated for your holiday. Flexible changeover dates and short breaks starting on the day you choose are available from October to April. (Friday Changeover Day during summer season, May to Sept)
The chapel offers first class accommodation, with two ground floor en-suite bedrooms, tastefully furnished with antiques, and overlooking the river. It is fully equipped with an open plan kitchen / dining room/ sitting room, and has free WI-FI, Ipod docking station, & a flat screen Sky T.V/ DVD. With a well equipped kitchen, & both ground floor bedrooms also having Sky T.V and hairdryers you'll find the Chapel meets all your needs and offers that extra bit of luxury.
Up the spiral staircase is the attic room, with it's own sitting area. It is equipped with full size twin beds, futon, football table, C.D player, board games & toilet with washbasin.

Outside, the chapel is in a beautiful riverside location, with a secluded rear garden which catches the daytime & evening sun, and is perfect for barbecues & al fresco dining. The rear garden overlooks open fields, often with the cows, sheep & deer watching you, & has a patio area with table, chairs, & Webber barbecue. Play boules on the lawn & then watch the sun set over the woods with a glass of something cool! You might even be lucky enough to see the badgers at dusk. Do some star gazing with the telescope you'll find in the "mini summerhouse". On a clear night the night sky looks like a glass dome, with no light pollution. Magical! There is also a small sitting area to the side of the chapel which is an afternoon suntrap, & a seating area beside the burn for a relaxing read, with the calming sound of trickling water.

The kitchen is well equipped, with a built in electric fan oven/grill, halogen hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and food processor. Also provided is a washing machine, dishwasher, larder fridge with small freezer compartment, sink & drainer, together with a good selection of crockery, glasses, cutlery & cooking utensils. The sitting area has a comfy sofa & chairs, WI-FI, flat screen T.V / DVD player/ IPOD docking station, C.D player / radio, books, magazines & games, & a dining area which has a large table extending to seat six.Downstairs the two master en-suite bedrooms are tastefully furnished with antiques, & have beautiful arched windows overlooking the river & woodland beyond. Both have full size en-suite bathrooms, sky television, hair-dryers & clock radios, & offer a taste of luxury not usually found in holiday let accommodation. Up the spiral staircase is the attic room , with 2 full size single beds, a futon, c.d player/radio, football table, games, & its own toilet & washbasin.

Outside there is a secluded rear garden with barbecue, table & chairs overlooking fields & woodland & perfect for catching the evening sun & glorious Northumberland sunsets, & watching the wildlife!Also a small sun terrace just outside the chapel, and a small seating area on the gravelled area beside the river. There are many local riverside & woodland walks on the chapel's doorstep.
Please note the Chapel's close proximity to the river, please supervise very small children when playing near the river.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. (Sorry, no cats or other pets) There is no charge for dogs but a cleaning charged may be levied is extra cleaning is required (this has never happened to date!)
No smoking inside the chapel please, however guests are welcome to smoke on the riverside paved patio.
Heating, linen & bath towels are included.
Please note that during peak season July / August, short breaks are only offered as last minute bookings, our summer changeover day is Friday, and flexible changeover days are only available in Low season (Nov to March, excluding Christmas & New Year)
Northumberland is steeped in history, with a "castle every mile", Hadrian's Wall, historic Hexham & Corbridge, Alnwick gardens & castle, Beamish museum, & Durham on your doorstep, you will never be short of things to do during your stay. Northumberland is known as "Land of the big skies" due to the dramatic, ever changing scenery & wide open, sparsely populated countryside. A great place to get away from it all.
Juniper is a tranquil village, close to historic Hexham & Corbridge, with their shops, cafes & restaurants, theatre & cinema. With 2 great local pubs within a couple of miles its a great central spot from which to explore Northumberland.Hexham is a bustling market town with an award winning Farmers' Market, Old Gaol, ancient Abbey dating back to the 11th century, yet with modern facilities - a leisure centre, cinema, theatre, shops, restaurants, cafes, park with children's playground, & Hexham is also on the main train line into Newcastle with a 1/2 hourly service.Corbridge, with it's winding lanes of shops & Cafes & riverside walks along the Tyne offers a lovely day out. The Roman Wall museum is well worth a visit. Hadrian's Wall is only a few miles away, with Housestead Fort showing how the Romans used to live, Vindolanda, with rare Roman finds, & of course the beautiful wall itself to walk along in spectacular scenery.
